MODS feel free to VAT this as soon as newspost is made.

Huh. I'm looking through the dialogues for a mod I'm doing up pretty quickly and it turns out there is exactly one "stupid" dialogue in the game, with a robot in some school somewhere.

Really? Only one? Do tell.

Maybe it was taken out. There's a robot in some school somewhere (it's listed under "genericdungeon" or something like that) that acts as a hall monitor.

If your INT is < 3 you can say "Oooo! Shiny!" and he will ask if you are a special education student

I noticed there is a "Trait" checkbox if you look at the Perks. Looking at the GECK's webpage, it says:

"Trait: A check box that identifies this Perk as a Trait instead of a standard perk. A trait is selected at the time of character creation. A perk is selected during level advancement"

Looks like we may get our Trait system back! My only question is: WHEN during character creation?

Also an explanation why the dialogue choices are so limited: 80 character limit. Ugh.

Does anyone have an idea how to load existing mods (*.esp) with the GECK?

//edit: nevermind, figured it out allready^^^

a possible solution to that might be a layered structed, selecting one opens up other options depending on your skill

say you select a int response, which would open up say 1-4 options based on your intelligence/speech (min req working upwards towards 100) this while not ideal would allow for more indepth dialog.

The problem is just about having to dumb down a single sentence just to get the idea across. Your solution would just result in 1-4 similarly dumbed down sentences totaling into a dumb whole

personaly I think the best fix would be:

[previous]
[actual line]
[next]
---
[previous]
[actual line]
[next]

this way we would have 69 characters. if that is not enough we could split the line. will break the feeling but would be better then vanilla.

also, I'd like to ask: what is possible with this geck? Recreation of a mainquest? Creation of actual towns with unique story and quests? Or is this too much work?

Unfortunately, setting perks to "trait" doesn't seem to affect character creation whatsoever

You can, however, see that Radscorpions are predisposed to be "foolhardy"

There is an entry for a Radscorpion poisoning effect but with my limited understanding of the editor I can't see any way to add it into their attacks

Character creation is -scripted-.

Though, I can't imagine how the trait system I wrote would be that different from the incomplete one in the geck. o__o

libvorbisfile.dll seems to be listed as malware, so that might be your problem...

*EDIT* I found a file called this on Filefront, but I dunno if it's the right one.

Uhm I had this error..moving the GECK into the main fallout 3 folder (where the dll is located) and everything worked.
