Glitches that you love/hate.

I see a lot of people complaining about the random encounters in New Vegas, but how could they say that?! I was on level 12 of my melee build taking Veronica to Hidden Valey, when out of nowhere the friggin' Alpha Male Deathclaw from Quarry Junction spawnned between some rocks, right next to me!

The funny thing that made me LOL for about a minute is that he spwanned between some rocks very close to each other and since this beast is so huge, he couldn't pass them and kill me.

Needless to say, I reaload the game. And what about you people, did you had an unusual spawn that made you cry (of love or hate)?

With my gunslinger revolver-only character I was passing through Nipton (I didn't quick travel to reach it) while going to the Mojave Outpost. I attracted the attention of two bark scorpions. While I was fighting them I see a grey-ish projectile passing near me. I turn around and...there's an Evolved Centaur. In Nipton. When I was level 8.

I tried to fight him briefly, but I soon realized that I wasn't dealing enough damage and hadn't enough ammo so I fled.

I had an odd one yesterday: I just started a new playthrough about a week back and I had just gotten the quest "Restoring Hope" at camp forlorn hope from the officer in charge there.

I'd already spoken to the camp doctor and when I went to go meet the quartermaster and start the section of the quest about finding the missing supplies, I could not find him in his tent.

I popped open the pipboy to check my map, and for some reason he's all the way to the west of Helios One on the map, by the scorpion gorge leading from hidden valley.

I fast traveled hoping to catch up to him and still do the quests without having to shove a console command to get him back in the base, and when I get to where he was, he's now moved a good deal east into the wastes, on what looks like a route back to camp forlorn hope. I put on light armor and went running after him at this point hoping to catch up and see what he's doing and about halfway across the open land near the wind farm I hear the sounds of battle and the whir of cazador wings.

I charge towards it and as I come over a ridge, I see the quartermaster and the doctor from forlorn hope engaging in a pitiful battle with some 10 full grown cazadors from the wind farm and getting beaten down hard. I killed all the bugs in a frenzy and just as I got close enough to engage the quartermaster in dialogue and try to save the quest, he and the doctor dropped dead from the cazador venom simultaneously.

Hmm, one bug I hated was when I was inside The Thorn and I was goin' to fight some deathclaws in its Arena. After killing those bitches, I saw my companion, Lily, inside a door which required a key to open (and that key didn't exist!). So I said I wanted to watch creatures fighting, then I jumped inside the arena, ran into one of the cages (while being shot by 10 guards) and rescued Lily. Fortunatelly, Red Lucy didn't attack me because she was "still watching the fight", after getting out of The Thorn and going in again, I wasn't being shot anymore and I could talk to Red Lucy as if nothing had happened.
That was a pain in the ass.

One bug I loved was after attacking the Gun Runners, Vendortron started to attack me (...he is an imortal NPC), after I escaped him, I waited a few hours than he was back into his store, for Pete's sake, selling and buying stuff. I really don't know how I'd survive without trading with him

Couldn't just hit the reload?

I personally didn't have any major bugs and glitches in FNV...at least not game breaking ones. And certainly none enjoyable. One funny bug/glitch is with ED-E which is so irritating that it got tears to my eyes. Metal thing won't move, won't fire, won't listen to commands, won't fast travel (usually). It just sits, rotates in place, and plays it's battle tunes. Irritating, but funny...in a silly way...

One funny glitch is with Arcade - his skin turns black at certain times. I posted that first on the Vault and put a pic!

When it comes to F3, now, that's where I really laughed in front of a screen. But, not to go offtopic.[/img]

No, I didn't notice she was trapped inside so after beating the deathclaws I saved the game.

That's the worst thing that can happen.
After I experienced similar fate in Fallout, after some nasty glitch or something, and thus loosing one of the toughest fights/quests in the game, I started saving my game on every 45 seconds.

I don't know if ti was a glitch, it probably was, but when Fighting some Legionaries in the Fort with my Melee character I used the Mauler with the Oh Baby, and one of the Legionaries just went flying and got past the wall, after I killed all the other Legionaries the one on the other side of the wall was still there, telling me how I would never get away, the Pipboy didn't let me fast travel because there were enemies around, and I tired going past the gate and reentering but the guy was still on the other side of the wall.
Another oen that really freaked me out, I am going to the Tribal village after getting the explorer perk, to see if I could get Chance's Knife, I was approaching it and then a Hostiel NPC called a "Burned Body" appears, just atacking me with his bare fists, and another oen called Corpse, they were easy but I tought for a moment that the Tribal Village maybe had some voodoo shit goign on, or a cult of crazed people, it was kidna disapointing that there were only cazadors, well it was disapointing before they killed me in like 5 seconds.

First time I got to this village I found lots of corpses and burned bodies along with cazadores, in that village I found an axe.

Later I found that Chance's Knife was close to that village so I fast-travelled back to it, and found that all npcs including corpses and burned bodies went alive, and it all went to hell with a mass of about 20 npcs killing themselves

This I would like to see, the fight of the comic book recreated in the game! :D

I haven't had many huge bugs but the that Ranger guy that gives you the NCR emergency radio often has some really weird stuff going on with him.

This last time, I was doing the quest where you help the Ghouls with their rockets. Was heading up to the viewing platform where you can view them taking off, and all of a sudden the NCR Ranger appears... But he's dressed like an astronaut! Gave me a chuckle. :)

A moment ago I had a very funny and convenient Glitch, Boone was in the middle of the air, high enoug to be out reach of the Legate's attacks, so I just made the Legate run in circles while Boone sniped him from mid air, it was pretty funny.

Well he himself says that he sunburns pretty easily.

One annoying Glitch I had yesterday was when a skeleton had taken to the air and I couldn't get the damn thing down.
Fortunate the console solved that problem but I hated it when random stuff starts taking to the air.

Also, every time I travel to the 188 Boone seems to fall out of the air behind me, not damaging him but I found it strange.

I think the fast travel spawnpoint to the 188 trading outpost is about 5 feet in the air because the ground slopes down a bit there from the rest of the area.

I was in the middle of the Hoover Dam battle and I killed a random Legionarie, but his corpse started ricochetign around in a deformed state, he looked like the people from the ending of The Enigma of Amigara's Fault, maybe The Slenderman was tryign to posses him (he does that?)

I foudn a weird dialogue glitch, morel ike dialogue that doesn't make sense in any posible scenario, after you kill House some NPCs might comment on House "selling off to the NCR" others will comment on him beign dead, but this line maybe implies that at some point there was a pacific solution for that segment of For The Republic? because that would be pretty awesome, I felt bad killing House after playing my House run, he is a pretty awesome character.

I hate when a whole "set" of objects will fall over or even fly off their surfaces when you pick up or otherwise interact with just one of the objects in question.

I made a melee character to try out Hardcore mode (which never went anywhere because I realised I'd just be distracting myself from my main playthrough) and decided to attack the doc right at the start of the game - just to see how melee works in the game. It didn't go well and that old guy handled himself like a prize fighter... But then, as I was retreating backwards around the table, his animation glitched in a truly freaky way...

His arms whirled rapidly and erratically around his body in a way that would be impossible with a human skeleton. It looked kind of like a spinning propeller wearing the skin of a human, the head just sat on top like an ornament. Scared the shit out of me, both in a gameplay sense as he was now capable of about 15 hits a second and in a general sense as it looked freaky as fuck.

Which reminds me... If you go to The Thorn and ask to fight 3 Deathclaws, go near the gate into the arena but not so close it opens. You can shoot the enemy from here and they'll just stand there since it seems their AI hasn't kicked in yet. Even if the AI does kick in, they're stuck behind a gate anyway. That's a general tip for an easy way to earn 500 caps, but the scary thing is that once they're dead, you can now move forwards so the gate opens. Their gate opens too, and destroys their body in explosive fashion - then leaves a corpse half in the ground, juddering and twitching in a way so bizarre I couldn't bring myself to go over and loot them.
