This mod is amazing. I HATE THE PIPBOY ON MY ARM SO MUCH I NEED TO USE CAPS.

Anyway, with nexus being kinda hard to find certain awesome mods, I figured to post this here since I don't want anyone to miss it.

Please read the info on how to get it to not show up too small or how you arent supposed to use the .esp of the original f3 mod.

A few people have released reskins of the PDA, i am hoping someone does a pipboy 2000 inspired reskin. IMO this is the closest we can get to a pipboy 2000, which, AFAIK, was a PDA and not a fashion no-no like the 3000.
 
I don't like it, because it looks way too much not-fallout. Didn't liked it for Fallout 3, don't like it for NV.
 
I would've really preferred a simple menu to pop-up than having to wear a physical Pip-Boy.

I am aware that I am playing a game, I don't need to have gimmicky shit in the game to try and convince me otherwise.
 
Lexx, it does feel unfallouty, but so does the 3000, to me at least.

The biggest part is to remove the TV strapped to my arm.


Now, if someone was to take the textures of the 2000, with the Vault Boy with his toolbelt/red hair, the Vault Tec logo and serial number, and perhaps the wires/lights/other things, I think this mod would fit perfect.
 
This mod does make the Pipboy better not to Falloutish, but certainly it's not as bad as the standard. I'd also like to see someone retexture it, but at the current moment it's not that needed. The mod does achieve the most important thing - it improves your looks in any kind of armor.
 
Same as Lexx, don't understand what the big fuss is about this mod (even when it was made for F3). For me it completely lacks Fallout feeling.
 
I don't get it. What does this mod do? Does it make browsing Pipboy less annoying? I don't care about "Fallout feeling" (whatever the fuck it is), but I do care about browsing inventory/data/statistics in a more efficient and less time consuming manner. However, screens provided for this mod didn't show me anything of substance, so I'd be grateful if someone took the trouble to elaborate.
 
It just removes the huge tv thing strapped to your arm and makes it into a PDA.
 
So browsing is exactly the same then? You can't see more things at the same time or anything like that? How about animation that usually delays Pipboy pop up? Is that removed and replaced by instant pop up, like you'd open a journal in other games?
 
No to all those questions, however if you're willing, you can find mods that do pretty much everything you asked.

Modding the pipboy to be off your arm is lame, and it looks lame to be holding some washed out PDA in my hands. Also if you think browsing throughyour pipboy takes too long then stop cheating for incresed carrying capacity because 160-300LBS worth of gear really isn't much to look through ... I can find anything I am looking for under 5 seconds ... maybe thats because I actually have a brain and know how to read and memorize simple things like this?
 
Readius is fine, especially with the "Classic Fallout" retexture. It doesn't clash the atmosphere at all. And it sure beats the arm-mounted monstrosity.
