Hi, I just stumbled across shocking news. I don't know is it easter egg or real but since it's from 28th march it could be real. Anyway even if it isn't truth it has interesting plot, related to vault climate :)

During 80s some soldier made small workshop in barracks cellar. One thing was strange - when there was energy shortage in whole city he always had power from electric installation. There were simply two cables coming from wall.
Few weeks ago foreigner was nicked for exchanging false dollars. Later police found out that money was genuine but had been simple pulled out from circulation years ago. Foreigner didn't have any id so he was released and followed. He literally disappered after entering one of a houses. Investigation team found hidden entrance to tunnels.
What police found exceeded everyone expectations - tunnels was so wide that car could be fit, they were tenths kilometers length and some people were found there. Totally 67 people (including 12 childs) were found - they hadn't any ID.
In progress of enquiry some shocking facts were revealed. These people lived there from 40s, originally bunker was designed as shelter for SS officers and selected womans that will wait for reborn of nazism, for long time after war they were supplied by agents from 'outside'. They were living there for 3 generations. Caught person left shelter in search for medical supplies and because he didn't had polish currency he tried to exchange dollars.

Homeless people in my country live in the sewers and subway tunnels where they have homes and families.
 
I don't find the fact that this was built during WW2 to house Nazi's in secret...what I find incredibly hard to believe is that it's been in use for over 60 years in secret and most of the people inside have never left...

Seriously I'm gonna wait 'til I see this news elsewhere before I believe it.

Actually, I seem to remember stories about Germans trapped in bunkers in the general Pommern area surviving for years after the end of the war... I'd have to dig something up, pun not intended.

It just occurred to me that the area of the future Gdynia airport is prolly haunted by vangeful SS-Geiste :P
 
Egads. Time to dust off the 'ol family sabre and hunt tunnel hitlerites for great glory and riches.

And seriously, I find this really hard to believe as well. Have any of you guys found any other sources about this thing?

Sounds like a good story for STALKER 2 except instead of being post-apocalyptic it's just in Poland.

well, it was only a few years ago that the last japanese soldier came out of the bush...

he had hid there for decades, afraid of the allied forces.

so all in all, it's possible. especially for the first generation. what did the world have to offer to nazi officers after the collapse?

the Ubermensch would eventually prevail! (not)

but the timing is pretty questionable :)

Wicked story, I sort of want it to be real just for the sheer interesting portion of the story... Down there for generations... Insane. It's hard to believe that no one went up-top to find out what happened though... I suppose there could have been other reasons for staying though.
