Half-Life short

It looks barely better than a slapped together trailer for a game. I honestly thought it was another one of those Black Mesa remake mods when it started.

Ok for CGI, but I've seen better.

Animation in itself is good.

First couple of seconds just remind me how much I wish the Black Mesa Source guys ought to get their asses to release time.
Then there's a lot of stuff that looks like it's Duke Nukem come to do Gordon's work, right up until the shot of the Aral "sea". And some moron shouting "STRIDAAAR".
And from there it might as well be Halo or whatever.


And yeah, I like Escape From City 17. Subscribed to their youtube ever since they put it up there. Too bad there was never a part two...
 
I adore half-life, but that trailer was pretty bad. What's with Gordon looking all roided out with a giant space marine head?

What's in the Box? is not Half Life related but it obviously takes inspiration from it, especially in the sound department.

I am actualy surprised no one thought of a real Gordan movie yet. Though if I think about it how many dialogues he's throwing around in the games ... well maybe that explains it.

But it might be a new form of movie maybe ...

The post I made was originally done by one guy who works for WETA Workshop... not bad, IMO.
