How much was Interplay sold for?

Interplay sneaked in another filing, denoting how much FPD paid for the controlling stock of 58 million.
Further to the change in control described in the registrant's 8-K filed on March 27, 2008 relating to the acquisition of control of the registrant by Financial Planning and Development S.A. ("FPD"), the registrant has been informed by FPD that FPD paid $159,000 on April 30, 2007 in a private sale by the bankruptcy trustee of Titus Interactive S.A. (at a time when a petition for involuntary bankruptcy had been filed against the registrant, which had not been dismissed). FPD purchased at that time 58,426,293 shares of common stock of the registrant and warrants to purchase 400,000 shares of common stock of the registrant at an exercise price of $3.79 per share. The registrant believes that FPD paid such consideration from FPD's own working capital.
That's 0,0027 USD per share. On April 2007, the shares in Interplay were going for 0.10 USD. Not a bad price, I suppose.

So ... how would that compare to "real" companies? Or maybe how would that compare to other bankrupting companies?
I wouldnt call it interesting but then i feel that unhealthy curiosity about how is Interplay doing.

Liquidation sales always equate selling dirt cheap, especially with a company that at that date, April 2007, had no real value. 1 cent a stock for 10-cent stock would've been normal, this is ok too.

And yeah, it's probably Herve selling his company to himself or whatever.

I'd want to buy some Interplay stock just for the novelty of 'owning some of Interplay'.

I mean, how many fans could aspire to say such a thing back in 98'?

That's like having some Blizzard stock right now. :D

I really don't understand hardly anything about stocks.

Does this actually mean that Interplay stock will be sold public, or the possiblity in the near future?

What? Interplay stock is being sold public, and has been for a long, long time.

It would be fun to own some stocks of Interplay, but I think that I have better thinks where I can spent my money...
But we never know... maybe some day they will be worth much more than they are today.
