HP advice...

Another aspect of my project calls for a greater understanding of how levelling and HP works in the Fallout Tactics game. It has been so long since I last played and I have no saves. Rather than start a new game and eventually acquire the knowledge on this aspect. I thought I would ask the community in hopes of speeding things up a little.

What I need to know is this;
What is the greatest level you can achieve in this game?
What is the highest HP amount you can get?
What is the average level of character at the end of the game?
Roughly what HP will a character have at level 5, 10, 20, and so on... (I know endurance affects this, just need an average)

By finding out this information I will be able to design a completely new damage system for my weapons, also affected by real life energy ratings.

Sorry Red can't help you there. Perhaps go check the wiki or do some searches on GameFaqs? IIRC though the level you usually get at the end with your characters (assuming a full party all the way through) is close to 18/19/20? There are many variables of course such as how many random encounters you grinded, secondary objectives met, etc.

Good luck with your project; mine is coming along as well!

Thanks for the reply, yeah I thought the average end-game level was about 20, just could'nt remember. There are also the other questions though, I aim to better understand the HP system so that I can design it around the damage of my weaponry and vise versa. Good luck to your project too, thanks again.

I can answer this for ya, tomorrow you will get your answers
Brilliant.
Thanks dude, you never cease to assist in my project. You are already the top advisor in my credits.

Are we talking about normal or Tough guy game mode?
Am am asking for a general answer, not specific. but answers for both modes may prove useful too. I just need a rough idea of max HP and max Damage for my firearms, and so I know at what levels in the game they should be used. Basically, answering those few questions will solve my entire games item flow.

Highest level you can achieve is 50. (FACT!)

I beat the game 3x, highest level 42, lowest level 38,
i normaly end the game with 350 to 400 HP.

Average level in the end is 35 to 45.

I'm not sure what the max HP you can get up to in game? But I will calculate it and give you a accurate chart going by level using every perk that is available at each level 1 to 50.

Max HP in game is 2099999999. (FACT!)

No HP effecting perks where used in this Endurance chart.

If you need I can make a Strength+Endurance chart no problem since both effect HP, such charts will be available on FLVDT's site ;)

Robert, this is exactly what I am after. Thank you so much.
I can see that you have put a lot of effort into finding these values and even though it may be a little more than I expected, it is absolute gold-dust to my project. I will definately be using this page as a reference when calculating HP and weapon damage in the near future.
You sir, are a sterling advisor to my project. Without you, I could never truly achieve my goals. Thanks again dude :)

Glad I can help :) it was not a problem only took me 40 minutes to a hour I will make a Strength+Endurance chart soon and info on how strong you can get in the game. I will send you some FLV sprites that I promised you here soon, I will continue to help you out :) I am a dictionary on Fallout Tactics modding so if you ask a question that I can answer you can expect to get a strate and complex answer ;)

Well, I've finished Fallout Tactics on Tough Guy with only lvl 27 - and I have finished every quest, failed nothing and farmed the robots for a while as well. I say the average level is from 21-27.

I hardly use my team i just use my mane that's why I get so far and I find all the special locations too.

I'd say that my average finishing level of my character is between 21-27 in the numerous times that I finished the original campaign.

It doesn't makes a difference if you solo or not. Your main character doesn't get 'more' of the XP - your squad just gets less (because less squaddies are there to collect it)

ie:

Scenario 1: player completes quest X with main character only: player receives 1000xp. for a total of 1000xp

Scenario 2: player completes quest X with full squad of 6 characters: player receives 1000xp per squaddie. for a total of 6000xp

Hmmm, interesting I didn't realize your party got same amount of experience.

When I play I like to wonder around the map to remove the shroud and find all of the special encounters and I like to stop at any random encounter that have mutants, robots and any sort of humans, so I can take whatever trash I find and sell it for a little cash and for XP, I don't know how I ended at these levels to be honest I haven't played in such a long time, I was normally afraid to end because I knew the game would start you back at the menu screen like in Fallout: 1/2 so I would try to collect 1 of every item that was in the game and I would just wounder the map slaughtering any enemies I find :) then when I get bored as hell I do the last missions of the campaign.
