Introduce yourself! AKA the "Say hello" thread

Hey,

Long time fan of Fallout, since before Fallout itself. Made a post-apocalyptic rpg in the early 80s for my friends and I , so when Fallout 1 first appeared it was love at first play.

Used to visit this board back in the...90s..early 00s? I don't remember my old account. Maybe guest posting was allowed back then...can't recall.

Dabbled in modding Fallout 1 and 2 before and after the release of the first mapper, and before any TeamX stuff. Made an unreleased Fallout1 in Fallout2 mod...never worked though. Elevators.

Later played the Bethesda stuff. Mostly modded them. Made several large mods and a lot of modder resources.

Also, modded other games, Stalker, I-War2, Ultima IV, etc. Started modding 40 years ago, so have some experience here.

Replayed Fallout 1 and 2 thanks to the community edition on Mac. Found Fallout Sonora, loved it, ended up here again, thinking to mod a bit.

Cheers!

Hello fellow prime normals
I played fallout 1 and 2 around 2002 when it was re released in classics collection at a very low price of around 5$ each. Later i played Fallout Tactics which i also enjoyed as well as Arcanum which is fallout adjecent. Not so long ago i finally compleated New Vegas which i was putting off after being soured by Bethesda games which i am not going to touch (i watched it on youtube however).

Hello, new entry from Italian wasteland.
Recently, in the last winter, I've replayed F1 & F2, sadly the file of tactics doesn't work :/
My favourite games are F3 and FNV, in particular NV, but there was no NV without F3 and F3 was my first Fallout.

See you around in the wastes

Hello. Weird thread. I mean, this forum is what iteration of NMA forum ? I definitely remember registering another account years ago (don't remember under which nickname). Then came a new forum, wiping away the old. Maybe that repeated multiple times, not sure. So technically we know each other already, of sorts.
Those who remember me from the previous millennia, I was mostly using nickname Crash back then. I think one of you may remember me. Lots of time has passed, many-a forums, websites died, many-a games played, yada, yada. Don't think I've changed much myself. Sure bigger age number, more kids, more net worth, but else still with the same character as I was in my teens (told ya).

Hello

I am a fan of fallout actually since four. I loved four alot so I got a first two and then realized I had been dumb. Ever since I've been a fan, playing fallout pnp and the good fallouts. (Still haven't played 3 and have played tactics lol)

I'm a college and yeshivah student, pursuing my graduate degree in Data Analytics and Rabbinic ordination. I work as an English teacher. For hobbies, I play games, am a huge writer, and paint model ships.

First game was Fo4, didn't become hooked until New Vegas when I played it a few years later. I finally got an emulator to run Fallout 2 on mac last year after wanting to play the classics for ages. Had a blast until The Den, it no longer works. Saving up for a pc but in the mean time FNV & Kotor 1 are filling the void.

Been a fan of Fallout since the demo release a lifetime ago as a 10 year old kid. Changed my life entirely, all the way from literature choices and even moral worldviews (thought more ambiguously and took time to consider alternative theories lol). I used to be a very active member of NMA and Duck And Cover before it started fading away. I've had a lot of chaotic life events pop up and I felt a return to the first gaming community I ever felt a part of would help amongst other things, at 37.

In terms of which games I like the most, it's obviously the original 2 with New Vegas close behind. I always felt and still do feel they were the real content of the franchise. I played them all, except 76 but that seems like its own microcosm of insanity from what I've heard so I avoid it lol.

Hello! i'm new, so i guess im just going to wwrite something here about my past with fallout or something.

my first experience with fallout was when i was 7 or so. i used to play minecraft on my playstation 3, and there was this fallout world i played. i liked it. it looked cool how everything was ruined.

then when i got my first phone, i decided to search fallout on the play store for whatever reason, and shelter came up. (yes, my introduction to the series was fucking shelter, ha. ha.) i was shit at it, and my whole vault would die almost instantly.

i discovered fallout 4 in 2018, when i got my xbox 1. it had game pass for one month with it so i downloaded it for free. i ran around, had no clue what i was doing, and was scared of the big group of raiders in concord. then my game pass was up and i bought it, and played it more.

then i guess 2021 roled around, and this is where i got truely invested in the series. i bought fallout 3 and New vegas, and most of the dlc for 3 as it was on sale. i mostly played new vegas, of course. i liked it A LOT. (still do of course) and i liked 3 as well, not as much, but i do like it. i played it so much that i started watching oxhorn and other youtubers play the original fallouts. 1, 2, tactics, hell even brotherhood. (i know, my track record isn't the best)

eventually, mid 2023, i was at a garage sale, and i saw THE HOLY GRAIL. A FALLOUT CD. now it wasnt in perfect condition, but it still worked. so i bought it faster than you could say "the nukes are dropping!". it was hard. i died AGAIN and AGAIN. i saved too little as i was used to auto saves, and i genuinly thought about giving up. luckly i didn't, as i'm much better at it now, and i truely love the game, but this was also around the time i bought fallout 2 and tactics on steam.

oh yeah and i guess i got 76 too, and not going to lie, i kinda like it.

only brotherhood of steel remains, but im going to buy a ps2 for it!

anyways, thats my story, if you have any questions or anything i'd be glad to answer.
