InXile hires Mark Morgan for Wasteland

Ah shit! It takes a lot to get me to spend money on something, as I have a tendency to be a bit miserly. Sometimes I agonize over a potential purchase for weeks.

I don't really know a damn thing about Wasteland, I somehow missed that one entirely. I only know of it as a sort of precursor to Fallout, which I just so happen to fucking adore.

Though something about this whole situation has piqued my interest in an odd way. So I'm going to spend money blindly on this for the boxed copy. I hope this experiment will work out well for all of us taking part in it.

I believe Vault J. Boy aptly expresses my sentiment about this:

(pardon the 101, not y pic ;))

A possible turn-based combat, real choice and consequence post apocalyptic, music by the former producer, Sweet!!!...(as long as they don't fuck it up) :drunk:

I guess the only thing now is to see how much money they are going to get. I definitely don't think they break 2 million on the Kickstarter, maybe they might after release. What do you guys think will be the minimum amount needed?

Well, well... It's actually, maybe, becoming real.

It's almost too good to be healthy. If present state of industry teaches us anything is to be cautious with the hype.

Although I can't help it but feel slight dose of euphoria (which is rare). And I don't like it, i don't like disappointments afterwards.

Anxiously waiting for more info.

I didn't realize how fundamental Mark Morgan music was in setting the tone when i was playing fallout 1/2.
I found it after playing Fallout 3 and F:NV and replaying the first 2.
It was quite a shock replaying the first 2 and instantly realizing i've never forgotten their music and how much it makes the atmosphere !
Music can do so much, especially in an isometric and probably even more in a top down view game to create the right mood.
Damn this is an awesome news, we know now than at least 1/3 of the game is going to be great !

Yeah, that was why it was a pretty high-priority hire for Fargo. He knows low-budget doesn't mean low-quality, just that you need to do more with atmosphere and writing.

Definitely getting my money! I am interested to see how this all pans out, a creation of a game that says 'Non.' to 'x-factor style fortehmasses' games and says 'Ja' to 'use your feckin' brain' games.

This is great news. Loved Morgan's music since I first played Zork Nemesis. Can't wait for the next Wasteland update.

And now MM?
I'm sorry, i must be new here (i am) but this is too much of good news to believe.

Yip, it's all an elaborate troll.

I was thinking more on the lines of "it's too good to be true so nothing will come out of it"...kinda like the dozens of fan-made mods out there. Still, i do realize we're not talking about about amateurs here.
