Just another random fucking question. Im curious about the type of people who post here. Where do you fuckers work? It occured to me today that I see names like ; Odin, Silencer, Welsh, Vault Dweller....etc , on a regular basis but I don't KNOW you. Just curious.
So what do you do for a living....fuckers?

I am a 63D in the U.S Army, otherwise known as a Self Propelled Field Artillery Mechanic. Im basically a diesel mechanic. My job description entails the following ; turning wrenchs a LOT, shooting, sitting around doing bullshit, standing for long periods of time in formation, mopping, sweeping, driving extremely heavy tanks, towing extremely heavy tanks, getting extremly tanked , and generally being a fucking bitch for Uncle Sam. And I'm spent... :)

P.S In about five days I'll be in Kuwait so add being extremely fucking tired and hot to my job description.

I work at a young men's group home and am just like a big brother. They are all troubled kids and have issues w/ anger, sex, etc. I've got no brothers and sisters, also I'm too young to have any kids of my own so it's just right for me. Every now and then I have to restrain them, which is not too bad because they're little kids for the most part. Had to do a 200 pounder the other day tho, that was fun... For the most part we just play basketball, play board games, and watch movies.

Cool job tho, I reccomend it if anyone's ever had any interest; it's certainly an alternative lifestyle.

Cool job SnaX, I was actually considering going into that line of work but things didn't work out for me. Right now I'm a cook guy at the one, the only KFC!! Man it sucks but getting an apprenticeship soon in printing.

Cheers,
The Duckman

I'm a student in what seems to be consider Computer Sciences in most other parts of the world.

It's called Information Computing (Informationsverarbeitung) in German and consists mostly of solving problems through programming.

My minor subjects are Anglistics (English Linguistics) and Philosophy. Ugh.

Other than that I "do websites" to earn my pocketmoney. I'm a web standards fanatic and don't value graphics design much, so I don't qualify as the traditional Web Designer.

Other people make it pretty, I make it work -- programming included. Frustrating as that can be.

On the weekends I poke people with spears and get hit with swords. We call it medieval combat re-enactment, but some people just call it nuts.

UNEMPLOOOOYYEED!!!!

But I'll prolly start studying again come january.

And Ashmo, do you have sex with websites, or do you make/code them?

Being a student in college, I just make due with a job at Best Buy as a "Camera Specialist." During the summers it entails talking about cameras with people and trying to discern what would fit their needs. During the christmas season it's just a matter of taking out cameras and giving them to people since no one gives a damn what they get others as gifts :).

I'm a journalist for the Justice Department of Belgium.
Which means I have to write brochures and articles for various periodicals and newspapers.
I also work as a cartoonist for a few periodicals.
I also play a lot with myself.

I work on a thesis in computer sciences. About program validation.

I play Go, Ultimate and practice juggling a lot (mainly flower sticks, some kind of devil sticks).

I also work on an online project, a small game, you can have a look here.

I'm studying Computer Science at the Technical University of Eindhoven, a study largely focusing on the formal and theoretical aspects of Programs and formal systems.
To be able to spend teh ridiculous amounts of money I am spending I've got a job for 12 hours in the week, consisting mainly of calling companies. A rather interesting and fun job, though.

I'm a 4th year Computer Science student and fucking sick of it.

Only 19 more months to go...

Overnight security guard at a university art museum. I take classes sometimes but I hate sitting in a classroom and listening to boring lectures too much to do it very frequently. The job is great though, good pay and my entire work day consists of looking at art, browsing the internet, reading or playing video games.

Right now? A student. I have one semester left to get my CS degree. I also have a minor in history, where I have been concentrating on Europe in various time periods. I have a part-time job where I do web programming for our student tech support group until I graduate.

After graduating I am going to be working at Discover Financial, the credit card company. I'll be doing a lot of unix work, both inhouse scripting and use of third-party tools that use unix. Nothing super exciting. I think after a bit I will try to switch over to web programming if given the chance. I'm allowed to look for another job within the company a year after I start.

I also in the process of setting up a web programming/design business on the side with a few other students. Nothing serious, just a way to keep busy and make a little money on the side. I'm similar to Ashmo when it comes to web work. I'm a big web standards freak that only really does work on the backend of sites.

Doctoral Candidate in Government- doing a dissertation on State Building and State Collapse in Africa.

Also I teach- law, politics or English Comp.
I also work part-time running the main library over the weekend.
Plus marriage- hey, it's a fucking job.
