Learn about the BoS in NV on GT TV on Friday

Those are vagueries, but I agree, it's a good direction to go in. Make things more about the fundamentals of survival rather thsn convoluted evil schemes aimed at world domination.

Cool. So Does this mean we will all stay up tonight, until 12am Friday? I am on east coast. i will watch this on t.v. because I have good tv service. many channels.

yeah so, we should talk until the show comes on, and after the show we can smile.

In the previous Fallout games they put struggles like these nicely into the main campaign while working towards something bigger than life the player could resolve.

Remember, Fallout 3's plot was about water, not world domination either.
The BOS and the Enclave fighting over who gets to control a source of clean water.

I say, bring back a plot to take over the world, and use stuff like resource conflicts to fill up the campaign.

I was actually more thinking about Fallout 2; it's introduction, with the temple of trials and the sad little UN sponsor babies, was so underwhelming that I consider the "Find the GECK and help us farm" aspect of that game to be basically a dull sidequest, and the main story to revolve around the Enclave and their plans to purify the world.

In comparison, Fallout 3's story, while by no means perfect, was in some ways better, and closer to the original Fallout.

Well Fallout 3's story is a mashup of the first two games so it would be pretty close to the first one.

On a related note someones just made and released the pre order armours. :V

I do not agree with you on that.
While there was more pressure on finding the Water Chip it was also a side quest in general in order to encounter the Super Mutants.

The main quest was to defeat the Super Mutants and their master to protect the Vault, and consequently the world.

Personally I am of opinion that the focus on resources like you said are better put in an MMO rather than making it the focus of a Single Player Campaign which I prefer to have a bigger than life plot or a real good personal plot.

It airs Friday night 12:30 AM Friday night at an unspecified time zone. I love unspecified time zones.
This says much about their competency. Here it goes:

It would take no more than 5 minutes of the editor's time (or whoever the f*** put this) to determine the time zone, and it would do a huge favor to no little amount of people. However, it seems that they don't care enough to think of all this. And their employers are incompetent enough to notice that. I can track this until I start giving notes about intelligence, but I don't want to risk seeing my beautiful post in the vats.
Apparrently someone is listening. The blog entry now says EST (and even gives the clarification that, in eastern time zone, it will actually be Saturday morning).

I agree. While I can't comment on FO3 as I still haven't played it, I don't find the water chip quest much more interesting than the "find the GECK" quest. Granted, the water chip was a more urgent need, but it was merely a starting point, just like the GECK. A sort of MacGuffin, even?

Just caught the New Vegas spot. Nothing really new other than the fact that the Brotherhood is indeed the West Coast faction sporting T-51bs. They also spliced in some footage of the ye old knights of the waste from FO3 as a reminder to the FO3 fans encase they forgot.

Or because they didn't have any footage from New Vegas.

That's probably the case as well. I have to admit, I'm shocked that Bethsoft isn't releasing truckloads of game play and screen like they did with FO3.

Those screenshots say "They'll be wearing T-51bs." And that's the only new thing the videos showed. The rest was speculated so much everybody believed it, and they were right.

NCR is at war with BoS over tech (basically Van Buren)
BoS play minor role
Most players will eventually encounter them at some point in the story.

The rest of the video is just things already known, and footage from FO3.

Also: Something has been bothering me. Your avatar. Is that....some crazy beaver version of Rocko?

I really don't like the leaser weapons from Fallout 3. Bleh.

Oh god, I hope that all the BoS members won't have a T-51b the same way every BoS member had a T-45d in FO3. Wasn't Power Armor supposed to be given only to the elite of the BoS?

Were there any robs in Fallout 3? Can't remember that I've seen a Scribe there. :?
