Left 4 Dead sacrifice comic

John B.

Look, Ma! Two Heads!
I was looking around doing some research on the new dlc for l4d, and I just decided to share this gem I did a search first so there should be no issues about reposting but here's a link http://www.l4d.com/comic to the comic, I'm loving it so far it's almost enough to get me back into the game, still on the first section for the moment thoe personally.

It's been out for a while now - came out with The Sacrifice add-on and No Mercy remake campaigns for Left 4 Dead 2.

Personally, I think it's a very good comic - I like the easy graphic style and the narrative. You learn a lot about the characters of Zoey, Bill, Francis and Louis before the infection and it ties everything up nicely to L4D2.

Now I just wish they made a comic about the L4D2 characters - I wanna know about their past, how they met and what happened after they boarded the chopper at the end of The Parish.

It's nice, sure, great even. But I dislike it a bit that they really needed a story for it (l4d).
Cause now if they want to create a DLC it needs to fit in to the storyline compared to the original design of just resetting the survivors for each campaign like nothing ever happened before. :(

Yep, back then it was just "random Zombie movie"-style, now it's tight to a real canon.

I wish all campaigns from L4D1 would work with 2, simply because of the more weapons in 2 plus the - imo - better feeling of the weapons.

Well since the Sacrifice brought No Mercy to the second game there is a lot of talk about whether or not they should bring the rest of the campaigns over as well.
We on the 360 have to pay for it but I don't mind just gimme those goddamn balanced maps actually fit for Versus valve!

Heh, if they port all the maps, the L4D1 folks will rage like they never raged before. :>

Well Valve shows they don't really care much for the original game anyway so the best for it would be for it to die and become an expansion pack for the second one. (Adding classic Campaign and Versus modes of course (For the boycotters. :> )

The Left 4 Dead community is the most raging, whiny bunch of cunts I've ever seen - to read their Steam forum is a great way to wanna kill yourself :) So yeah, of course they whine about it, despite the fact that Valve made the price of L4D2 as low as humanly possible

I hear that the PC gamers have a lot of problem with griefing and ragequitting and crap like that but the 360 version is a lot more calmer.
Every time I tries to say something there those frustrated rage fucks decide to shit all over me.
So that forum is absolutely horrible.
But the community.
Nah, the 360 community is a lot calmer.
Rarely do I get kicked there or have a 12 year old screaming at the top of his voice or have the team ragequit on me. :)

I despise the L4D1 community, they are the main reason I made the jump to L4D2 (that and the $6 price tag which is hard to pass up). They are a bunch of miserable pricks who think they are hardcore and "sticking it to the man" by only playing L4D1 and writing off anyone on two as a complete nub who could not hack it on their "tru" version of the game.

I am so sick of the term rage quitting, so far I have not seen it abused virtually anywhere near the point it is on L4D1.

If you got disconnected, you were a rage quitter.

If you joined a game where it was just you vs four infected and no one would switch over nor would anyone join, you were a rage quitter.

If your wife was just in a car accident and required brain surgery and you had just got the call to come to the ER, you would still be considered a rage quitter.

Not to mention the annoyance of seeing "RAGE QUIT NAW" flash across the screen when ever some 16 year old boy thought he scored an "epic pounce".

You do realize that the map they released has been out since the third week of l4d2's release, valve just took the map and added a few things, it even has the same elevator bug. They have actually already ported over all of the campaigns, dialog, and models, to l4d2 all that is changing now is valve is making them official. What I'm hoping for is that they make some of the amazing maps like 24 to death cannon.

Well, fan made port isn't the same than official port. Over the first, people cannot rage, over the second, people can (because they might have paid money for L4D1 and later L4D2, just to get all L4D1 content in 2 as well).

Beside this, the No Mercy campaign maps are modified here and there, to eliminate some oddities (most obvious should be the building in the roof top final).

So true! To be fair, most of the time I don't even notice when someone's gone online/offline/idle, but some people seem to live only by that and call eery quit/disconnect a RAGEQUIT!!!1

Which is very weird, because every time I've ever played public servers, people were really nice and I had good games. I think the poison is mainly within the Steam L4D forum community, endlessly frustrated by the fact that no one from Valve bothers to read their daily whinefests. The actual L4D players out there are almost always nice people, equally so in L4D1 and L4D2.

Never got such kind of bad experiences as well. The only thing that annoys me sometimes are people that run through the map alone or don't wait for the other, etc. In fact, I find this pretty annoying and always hope that some smoker, jokey, hunter or whatever catches them and nobody is close to be able to help. Maybe they learn it then.

I'm a new player at l4d and I must that 9 out of 10 of the game I play were really good experience.
The other game were just a mix of guys running around the map alone, empty games, things like that.

I must say I mainly play campaign.
