Let's make our own Fallout 3

Already in the works. I have been working on a complete seperate game called Fallout3D. Before you flame me that it isn't in isometric view, hear me out. When I first downloaded the Fallout:Tactics demo I realised Interplay had no intentions of ever releasing a REAL Fallout3. At that time, I decided the only way it was going to get made was if I did it myself. I've gone through three engine changes now, and I think I can safely say that I will stick with the current engine I am working in, 1.) Because I can port into it levels I have already built in another engine, and; 2.) Because I can make it a stand alone installable game. I always planned on handing this out for free, kinda as a 'Fuck You Very Much' to Interplay. Now more than ever I am determined to finish this thing. The story is 100% complete, the level building is about 20% complete, the AI scripting is currently 0% complete. The character modeling is also about 20% complete. As you can see I still have a ways to go. I hesitated announcing it as I really wanted to have something tangible that people could download before I announced the MOD/Game. But perhaps it is time I recruited some fresh blood to help me bring this title to fruition. I will be posting a link for a website for the project in the next few weeks. There will be screencaps from some of the finished levels, as well as the opening sequence movie.

There are three screencaps of an early version of Necropolis in the Fan section of the forum.

Looking for a scriptor proficient in either UnrealEd 3.o or 3D Game Space.

Thanx!

I think this looks very interesting, I know some people won't like the idea of this but keep it up.

Lets see how it goes :)

don't know if i still have it, but i did do vault 13 in both valve hammer editor ( Half-life and CS ), and the deus ex version of the unreal-ed...

the reason i did it with the deus-ex unreal-ed was because it has most of the elements needed to make an RPG, since deus-ex was an RPG...

if you're interested, i'll have a look and see if i can dig out the unreal-ed version...

Hell yes ColJack! Post 'em! I never thought about using the Dues Ex version of UnrealEd (good idea!), I'm currently using the UnrealEd3.0 that comes with Unreal Tournament2003, but only to build my levels, then I port them into 3D Game Space. Of course those caps were when I was using GtkRadiant a few years back.

Here's another link from my site with a geometry barely roughed in early version of a Vault .

And another of a more updated section of a Vault, with some static mesh and texture placeholders.

As you can see, I am trying to go with a completely original design for everything in my MOD, I wanted to try and stay away from any of the design elements of the originals. With the exception of the general 'gear' shape to the Vault door, and the 'FalloutBoy' which I used in the opening movie.

Thanx Chosen! Checking out your site now. Have spent this weekend assembling a website for the game (seperate from my resume and portfollio site.) should be up in a week or so. :D

edit: I just checked out your site, looks great! Wished I could read portuguese, but I understood most of it.

Thanx for your enthusiasm guys, at the very least when I put the website up I will make available one or two of the levels so they can be played in Unreal2003. Not near as cool as the game, but you can get a feel for walking around in the levels.

Wow, dude!!

Those screeshots look awesome, I really would like to see this project through so keep it up.
