More Fallout: New Vegas Screenshots

"Cool" a supersoaker gun and a hippy vault / bunker (funny), knocking out two super mutants with boxing gloves (cool), something that seems to come out of a mediocre 2003 western game (no shadows?!), a failed "New Reno themed" picture with that silly mono cycle robot with the 'funny' but stern looking law figure 'face'. Yeah this clearly is becoming the Fallout sequel we have been dreaming about.. No doubt the writing will make up for all the nonsense we have seen so far :|
 
Actually it does look like a generic bunker :)

But the filename said "BoS_Bunker" so I decided to preserve it until proven otherwise.
 
Nice to see that we can dress up as Howdy Doody.

The graphics seem better than those in FO3, but are still quite lacking. Then again, the only thing I'm really concerned about graphically is if they've implemented diagonal walking animations.

Personally, I think the one-wheeled bot is pretty retro-futuristic, and going HtH with a mutie-- even in boxing gloves, where available-- isn't anything any Fallout's ever kept you from doing before. It's goofy, yes, but it's doable. As a matter of fact, with the exception of the unfortunate retention of the F03 plasma rifle, I don't see anything in any of these shots that would've felt particularly out of place in Fallout 2.
 
Don't think anyone has made it known that they recognised it, but the female PC with the bunker has a slave collar on, might indicate a rank with Caesars legion, or someone is messing with us.

Actually the bit on the back isn't new, it was always there. It's just that you may not be very used to seeing it as you can't see that bit in first person.

I'm depressed that the Fallout 3 plasma rifle is in there. I had hoped that since they brought back the classic Glock 86 plasma pistol and said they were bringing back the P94 plasma rifle that the Fallout 3 plasma rifle was going to be an Enclave-only weapon.

As a post-war weapon developed by the Enclave or the Commonwealth, just about plausible, but it doesn't look right as a pre-war military plasma weapon, has a real "steampunk" look to it. I hope they justify it as being something left over from the defeat of the Enclave a few years earlier in the East.

I'm guessing their goal was to increase weapon variety, so maybe they'll have classic plasma weapons and Fallout 3 plasma weapons, so they'll be two types of plasma pistol and two types of plasma rifle. Which will be nice I guess.
 
Plasma Caster? WTF?


The game looks very cartoony, like a parody of the original games.
 
Actually, the in-game description of the P94 in FO1 and 2 says that it's actually an industrial plasma caster.
 
I'm over this, to be sure. No shadows? Faces that look like 2004? Punching mutants with boxing gloves? Hippies?

Give me a break Obsidian.... maybe at one point they'll make KOTOR 3 and give me something worth spending my money on.
 
I'll guess, the better question is, why is there stuff like "ban the bomb" and "peace", etc. on it. I see three possible solutions for this:

1. The BoS dudes are flower children now. This is very unlikely.
2. The bunker is like that since short before the war in 2077, which would mean, it's a really long time and the paintings doesn't looks like it is that old.
3. The BoS has some bomb shit or whatever and other people from the area are hippies and wrote that stuff on their bunker.

I personally don't like all three points and I think, the painting doesn't look good (on that screenshot. Maybe in a different scene it looks better).
