More mud on the already tarnished reputation of Israels Army

Im not saying all the people in the army are like that or that this is endemic (although im not ruling it out either) its not like Israels army enjoys a good reputation. That and the fact I doubt anybody outside of Israel acknowledges its claim to have the most 'moral' army in the world.

No surprises there. Racism is widely accepted in Israel. As long as it is towards palestinians that is. When they additionally are able to get away with senseless violence, sure they will do it.

There are currently, as I see it, 628 moral people in the IDF.

"The most moral army in the world"
Not many other armies use weapons banned by the Geneva convention on civilians so I wouldn't exactly call them moral.

what did you expect. decade old conflict + high civilian density.
of course, there's going to be abuses.

the moment you put people in a position of power over others, there'll be abuses.

even with the best possible command structure and the best possible soldiers, you'll end up with unwarranted violence and destruction of property.

that is WAR...

Or the fledgling black Jewish population. Does anyone remember this episode?

I don't think very highly of Israelis, or their foreign counterparts.

Except any other army around the world.

Even the so "clean" German army is using some form of mines. Just named differently, and for a different purpose. But still for. War. Or a similar situation.

Its sometimes just a game of definitions and such.

Its like holy war. A war that is holy? You know ... sounds good when you throw it around!

Exactly.

I'm tired of hearing about people bitch about racism and inhumanity under the context of war. People's misconceptions of war is what should be challenged, not having a clean, media friendly conflict.

Then maybe people will understand and avoid war in the first place.

Pertaining on abuses and other mishaps involving mental stress from being shot at everyday:

The types of jobs governments are asking of their military these days such as "The Idealistic Globalized Peace Force for The Evolution of the Human Economy Upheld Under Pain of Severe Internal Injury, Nerve Damage, and Concussive Blasts" Is to much for the psychology for a human to endure. Killing children with rocket launchers to protect the 54 Year old, Rapist, Cocaine Addict CEO who supplied the rocket launcher in the first place is a cognitive scenario that your average foot-soldier can not obey without mental trauma tearing away at his own sense of duty and goodness. The effects of the "Wax on, Wax off" brainwashing that is being used for the modern soldier is failing due to the number of suicides of Iraqi conflict veterans. These types of task require computers of more advanced stages of warfare where the psychology and emotional attachment of the warfighter is even more sedated or even removed completely.

Some examples of our good ol boys at R&D solving the problem so we can keep blowing holes into each other for profit.... cause its so damn fun.

A moral army protects the content of the people within the nation. Internationalist politics have been ruining the concept of the moral army since 1945.

Newsflash: There is no such thing as a 'moral army'. Never has, never will.

Internationalist politics. Pshaw.

Since 45? So there has been a moral army before :P ?

I'd say Switzerland's army was moral, until they fought in the Bosnia.

Peace keeping missions, ew.

I'd also say the Wehrmacht was moral, at least compared to Allied "armies" (criminals).

But like I said, internationalism has destroyed the idea of the moral army.

I think you've just made an ass out of yourself.
