More VB Design Docs

We here at NMA have once again gotten ahold of some more design docs, this time around we got the following areas:
Blackfoot & Hangdogs:
The Blackfoot tribe is a community of primitives who make slave raids on other tribals and pay tribute in slaves to Caesar's Legion. Within the tribe is a smaller group, the Hangdogs, who revere dogs and train them to help in hunting and guarding.
Jericho:
The distant community of Jericho is located near the shore of the Great Salt Lake. It was once the Jericho Water Plant and part of the larger town of New Canaan, but that town was destroyed seven years ago by rioting refugees from the war in the west.
Burham Springs:
Burham Springs is a horrible wreck of a pre-war mining community that has been burning for decades. Only a tiny handful of people continue to linger in the dreadful place.
New Canaan:
New Canaan is one of the more stable and tolerant communities in the wasteland. Set in the ruins of Ogden, Utah, on the Great Salt Lake, it is a Mormon community unaffiliated with any other government or power group.
And if that wasnt enough, we also obtained some docs about the CNPCs in the game.
And we also obtained the world map image:

So that sums it up, you now have all the design docs for Van Buren, happy reading!

Thanks Odin! :)

P.S.: we should get the demo to release it at the same time the new Interplay forum goes online, that would really be kick ass :)

Very nice! My only question now is, did anyone ever get the document for BOMB-001 to open? I'm running Open Office 2.0 and every time I've opened that specific file it has always crashed. Thankfully all the other documents open fine.

Cool, but I'm sure that NPC list isn't 100% complete, fyi. The "hanged man" (iirc) wasn't on the list, for example.

The world map was a cool "find".

@ Brios: rules are rules

Ohhhh, the world map. All of a sudden the loss of this game feels even more real. [kirk]CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAEN.[/kirk]

Opens fine in Word 2003.

Cheers Odin!

For some reason it doesn't work in OOo.. I downloaded and tried the official microsoft word viewer.. it works in that, but editing doesn't..

So does the dark line that forms an x on the map symbolize the boundaries of powerful groups or is it just accidentally there or something in between?

Damn. I just tried it in WordPad and after clicking through 50 "Unable to load graphics conversion filter" warnings, I can finally open it. Sans images of course.

Where's the design doc number 13 then? Were the designers superstitious? :) And why no design docs for Fort Abandon and Grand Canyon?

Well, there were two number 10s, so I assume one of them should have been a 13.

Jericho and New Canaan are more or less two parts of the same location (just like Adytum, Blades and Followers of the Apocalypse were all part of Boneyard), so it makes sense that they have the same number. They probably were in one design document that was later split.

Maybe the NPC docs are #13, although I doubt that.

I guess either the doc is lost or they WERE superstitious.
