Music!

Mildly Dipped
So one thing Fallout 3 did get right was the radio in the Pip Boy, very cool feature, but we know the music will likely change. So what music would you like to see in New Vegas?

I for one wanna see a return of this classic:

Also, they need a bigger setlist. The songs get really repetitive and I end up switching to the Enclave station or the one station where the old lady plays violin.

Also, it might not fit too well, as it's 1920's era music, but it sounds pretty good:

Something that isn't 50's but it would be a nice addition:

If there is a radio, it should have plenty of Elvis, Sinatra, Bing Crosby and the like. Aside from the gambling and such, that was a huge draw for people back in the 50's and 60's. I do love the fact that (one of?) the radio DJ is Wayne Newton. It's really great that the really awesome voice talent won't get killed off (Unless we decide to 86 him).

So far the version of somewhere over the rainbow that alec suggested, I liked the most. One could even say that it was made for fallout games xD.

Ella Fitzgerald – Summertime…the fat lady sings…and can she sing.

or Dinah Washington - Cry me River

I don't get the whole point of the radio to be honest. Useless "feature" for me ingame. I want to listen to better atmospherical "ambient" stuff, not some random 50ies music etc. It just doesn't fit - even when we heard such kind of music in the FO1/2 intros, you've never heard that ingame.

I don't get shit like that; if you don't like the radio, don't fucking turn it on. Some of us do like listening to music and shit though (especially when the in-game soundtrack kind sucks).

I think a radio station should be made with pure instrumental acoustic songs. I mean, they seem to work in other post apocalyptic games.

Of course, if I ever wanted to listen to those I could just DL them, put them on my MP3 and plug it into my 360. In fact, when I get my TV back, I think I'll do that.

Was there some ambient background music in Fallout 3? I can't remember. If not you have a reason why a radio sucks pretty bad.

Yes, there was. And I really didn't like Fallout 3's background music in all but a few instances, so I ended up listening to the radio a whole lot. Maybe it won't suck in NV, but I dunno.

It would be cool if they made up songs for the radio; Vegas is supposed to have shows and shit, right? Why not make up some additional songs to throw on there.
