My Fallout 3 wishlist

Camanda

First time out of the vault
I think Fallout 3 should be a lot like fallout 2 with the view and battle system, quests and such. definently not first person.
Just a lot less buggy and better graphics. don't do a complete overhaul of the game system. stick with what works. I think that there should be a lot more npc's that you can interact with and
solve problems for. I think that Fallout 2's character creation was great but there should be more options on fallout 3. I just hope they stay true to fallout style.

My Fallout 3 wishlist:
-That people would actually make a list when they say they're making a list.
-That people would stop saying the same thing over and over again.

Sorry, Camanda, but a 'list' like this is posted about once a month, and it's really tiresome.

Don't take it personal, Camanda. We appreciate the sentiment and no doubt agree with the rough lines. It's just not much of a topic of discussion.

Let me try this again...

1. A radioactive jungle complete with mutated animals like the
super intelligent monkeys that have their own
"town" (stay on their good side or they can resort to crap flinging which temporarily lowers charisma if hit)

Elephants that have evolved bazooka trunks er..yeah um well and
a coconut collecting quest  bah I give up

1. The same old ruleset (SPECIAL!)
2. Turn-based combat. I'm sick of real-time combat after Gotchic2 and *gurp* Oblivion.
3. Desert. Vege should be less.
4. Fallout's dark atmosphere setting + Fallout2's humor.

Heh, I like this guy...

Yeah, but I guess we have heard it all before...

My only wish is that they stay faithful to the other fallout's,listen to the fans and dont screw up with the series, but that i believe it is the with from all of us.And i think it is the hardest to get from bethesda...

Nah! She is a girl!

Well, when I say guy I imply a either gender. Maybe next time I'll add the disclaimer **I do not imply a human of the male type, rather either gender**

I dunno...

i think you're not the only one who wishes that, Heodien. but it's a bit of an old wish and i even believe there is a topic about that.

nonetheless, i hope the same and i think they will do that .

(i then mean of course fallout & fallout 2 because tactics was a disaster  )

tactics

I never liked tactics at all either. after 20 minutes I deleted it and never turned back...actually I did technically turn back since I started playing Fallout 2 again.

Why has it taken them so long to start on Fallout 3 anyway?
It's not like the first two flopped. Even an addon would have been really popular.

Can I get a ballpark on how many "wish lists" there have been? A thousand? TEN thousand?

There have been very very many since I joined, I know that.

As for content, what is there to say? It's all been said before, often more eloquently. What a shame the right people don't listen.

Oh, they did start it soon after FO2, then cancelled it, then started it again and cancelled again and then sold the license to Bethesda after Interplay went undead.

Fallout Tactics 2 actually involved a radioactive jungle, created by a radiated GECK, among other things.

Fallout 3 never came much more because of a real bad administration then the game itself,it had a lot of things already when interplay broke...you could take a look at the pics in the gallery here at nma

They had to finish Oblivion, but the game has been in preproduction for a long time.

I want a port of FO1 and FO2 to the DS. This is half a joke, but half not...Portable Fallout sounds kinda good...

I don't know how long the NMA forums have been going for, a long damn time thats for sure. As a result, everything fallout related has been mentioned before.

Also, before more information on F3 has been released by Bethesda everything related to F3 has also been discussed.

Does this mean that all new comers should be related to abject silence on Fallout topics, doomed to trawl through thousand year old threads?

I think not. Maybe a sticky for new comers to post wishlists would be beneficial to stop a new thread occurring and dying "every month". In general though, some topics have to be re-discussed for the benefit of those of us who haven't been around since the apocalypse.

You never know, amongst the stream of consciousness that a more lenient approach will surely encourage, a golden thread of an idea may awaken the decrepit brains of the elders of the vault.

Cheers
Sven

No they don't. Those people could just as well read the old threads, and add something *if they have something new to add*. Giving them the opportunity to say the same thing over and over again doesn't add anything to the forum, and in fact makes it harder to search.

Which is why we have no problem with people uttering new ideas. Re-iterating old (wrong) ideas is frowned upon, however.
