I was wondering if some of you fine folks are in the "fort building" business as well? I a stumpled upon this fine mod here which allows you to build your own little fort. Not to be confused with the settler mod.
So what always bothered me in FNV is how unprotected most communities are. I thought the Fallout 1 and 2 communities with gates and walls and turrets and guards were much more realistic in such a dangerous and chaotic world. I believe places like Goodsprings or Novac would simply die due to critters as well as raiders. So I shopped through the nexus and got me some fine Novac redesigne mod which makes Novac (my favorite kind of town) a little better defense wise. But given how the legion is nearby I decided to fortify the position near Novac to build a stronghold against the wasteland dangers!
Ignore my low and ugly graphic settings please.
It isn't finished yet, I plan to add guards and several watchtowers in the future. I kind of tried to make it look a bit like Junktown, though I am not really happy with my results so far. But I haven't really figured out the mod yet, so maybe in the future it will look a bit less generic.
So..anybody else building forts? What would be a good and reasonable location? Any tips on the mod itself?

that makes me regret buying New Vegas for the Xbox. Really good job though on solving a problem that bugged me as well
