I want to add Darin's armours to traders in single player or to some secret location, is there any way to do this without FT Improver?

AFAIK to add new armor with default sprite (leather, metal, etc.) you will need only FTTools.
But if you want armor which change unit appearance to not-default sprite (Darin's sprites for example), then you need to add new armor TYPE. FT Improver it is the only thing which can add new armor type.
So, I guess, you won't be able to add completely new armor without FTImprover.

Well, then, any way FT Improver don't look for registry entries?
