New Critter - Felix (WiP)

Nekid

First time out of the vault
Here he is, comments welcomed (except for, "how does this fit into the fallout world?") right now this is just a concept for me and for the community working with poser to get new critters.

aa is idle and ab is walk, i'll edit this post as i go giving links to the new .FRMs as i go....a warning to those 56kers, aa is 1.2Mb and ab is 400kb.

these are also very alpha and very likely to change

UPDATE1: Here is the gif of the new model and of attack number 1, i'm progressing very rapidly now that i finally have all the camera andlight stuff sorted out...the interpolation is just so damn fantastic! Just have to make 2 key frames and just let it fill in the rest...the animation below took 3 mins to setup then about 10mins to render :)

UPDATE2: All scenes are done, all that is left is to spend some time in frame animator and to make these puppies go. Should have most linked here tomorrow...i'm going to get the idle and walking done tonight still
UPDATE3: All .fpr projects are made...now it is just a matter of adjusting offsets and felix is ready for beta

Nice... Felix! I've just tested it in mapper, an it looks OK. However, there are some small things to improve:
- There is a blue edge around the green body (antialiasing turned on?)
- The offsets of the frames could be aligned better (critter jumps out of the trajectory)
- More colors? Like brown/black boots, belly belt (or something?) more metallic... You get the picture.
Nonetheless, great work. Did you use Jochuas' settings?

I did used jochua's settings for the camera and light source for the shadow..i need to reaim my lights for the rest of the body as when he is pointed west he looks dartker than when he is facing east.

The jumping around when walking i have fired off an message to a .FRM expert so hopefully he should be able to help me get it so my critter doesn't wander off course. I have the last frame of the walking ending up at +/-33,+/-24 which it should be around, yet this critter can get so far off course; <s>any suggestions on alignment that i can try?</s>...then i read the tutorial...

other colours: just need to re-skin and render then dump into frame animator. Today i'll be continuing with new .FRMs after i attempt again at the walking.

Good, can't wait to see the next Lucky. Optimizing the trajectory is a tough task, I really couldn't give you any useful hint. It comes with hours of work with FRMs and testing'em in-game...

I'm having a fun time trying to get rid of that edge around him. The rendering engine i'm using doesn't have a simple anti-aliasing check box, there is a vast number of options that i can choose, but as i increase them so does the time to render :( oh well, i didn't expect this to take 20mins ;)

EDIT: still getting kicked by the damn shadow aliasing!
