New Fallout 3 concept art - east coast confirmed

Wow :O
This time I have to tell you that this picture rocks! :)
Really great piece of work, i would prefer however the bigger version so I would be able to make a wallpaper.
Too bad that it's hard to tell 'bout the retro feel from this perspective.

With the music it looks more like War of the Worlds or Independance Day than Fallout if you ask me but it still looks cool.

i like it

but only like

i dont feel fallout

they must keep the atmosphere

it should be their goal no 1. on the list

This pic is oozing Gears Of War rather than Fallout. I swear it looks like a GOW screen.

Anyway, it's a cool piece of concept art, it could look good in the game, kinda like an F3 Hub, but I'd like to see more sandy wasteland rather than ruins. I like that the view is getting higher lol.

Looks great. The building in the distance reminds me of the VaultTek headquarters building we see in the Fallout 2 after-intro slideshow.

This look's great, I hope it is east coast I don't want to play in California good to see a change.

Washington

That looks better than DC now. :)

I like this shot better than last weeks. But it still doesn't have that dry dustbowl appearence of the Fallout wasteland. I would like the color scheme to go back to Fallout desert like yellows, tans, browns, oranges...etc... This heavy gray they're using reminds me of Gears of War as well.

Well, it certainly looks like the government lifted the DC height restriction in Bethesda's Fallout universe. Not to mention flattened Capitol Hill. I wonder how the more built up Rosslyn would look?

Anyway, this all seems to be more on the vein of general mood-setting post-apocalyptic art.

Not bad, but its not Fallout... The only thing that makes sense to me is that the minimal blast damage is due to the low yields of 1950's era nukes. Problem is, the city is too recognizable in my book and as someone mentioned... it looks cataclysmic catastrophe rather than an atomic attack.

Thank god its only concept art.

Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking, the color schemes in this and the older pics are kind of weird, that yellowish tone would make them more Fallouty than this blue/grayish one.

i hope that some of the more western styled themes do not go out the window ... image reminds me of 12 monkeys post apoc which was nice in its own cyberpunkish way - i've been trying to look for a car in the image but to no avail

Yeah, I know where you are coming from, but do we have any idea as too what time this Fallout will be set in? If it's later than Fallout 2, we're going to start to see that dust in the air settle, and maybe plants starting to grow back. On top of that, this is the East Coast, and we get alot more rain. I see some trees there though, and they look pretty dead...

I like it.

Of course, it doesn't look like Lenoard Boyarsky's digital paintings, but I like it.

I wouldn't say it lacks the Fallout feel... It's just a bit different. Yeah, it's cool.

That doesn't look like Fallout. Must be another series.
