New Vegas DLC first info

Also no mention of timed exclusivity or anything.

They never mention timed exclusives. Wouldn't be much of an exclusive then, would it?
Both parties sign a contract that says they can't talk about DLCs for other platforms until a certain amount of time passes. Same thing happened with FO3 DLC for the PS3, and GTA IV's as well. It's a common thing in the industry nowadays.
Anyway, I'll gladly accept DLC as long as it isn't made in Boware's fashion of cutting out existing material and then selling it in order to make a complete game. FO3 DLCs weren't obligatory in order to get a full story. They were just add-ons, fun missions of sorts. And The Pitt was rather good IMO. Mass Effect 2 on the other hand had 2 squad mates cut out, and whole vehicle sections just so they can later make a quick buck (or make it look like they're giving something for free).

tl;dr: I'd bet the PC will get the DLCs after a couple of months.

Steven, you just made me vomit in my own mouth. I am sad to hear that DLC is already going to come out so early and fearful that Bethsoft will make it.

Honestly, I'm also sick of the DLC trend of bleeding consumers left and right for stuff that's generally not worth it. I think Valve is the only company not interested in raping their customers.... except when Microsoft forces them to charge on the XBox, but that's expected from such a slimy company.

So long as the public keeps eating it, they'll keep feeding it to them.

There is a group already, from what I've heard, that intends to manually port the dlc over using several less than legal tactics, if PC users are denied the dlc.

I have no doubts that Bethesda will release DLC on all plattforms. Would be silly to not care about the possible money.

There is still a chance that they will deny pc users the dlc to "balance out the moding utility"
Edit who knows they may charge pc users for them to get the moding utility.

God, I'm so sick of mircosoft, and that's who I think is responceable in this case. This Xbox 360 exclusive nonsense really needs to end. I'm sure we will get DLC but they might make us wait a year. LIke someone here said alright that's what happend with GTAIV and is what is happening with dead rising 2

Indeed. Ah the public, thanks for keeping bad trends alive! While downloading (so-called piracy) is a mixed bag for some, I do heavily condone it for DLC which should be free anyways.

I do second that, but at least it keeps the rest of the gaming community from wasting money on that crap.

Interesting thing is that I am getting rid of the one I have as I find it more of a space filler than an interesting console with a variety of good games.

MS' attitude will not drive more people towards buying their money loss.

Actually, Todd Howard himself said that with Fallout 3, they only managed to make half the game they wanted.

And considering the fact that all of the DLC, except Broken Steel, was referenced in the vanilla game from the very beginning...well

Only referenced. Though it wouldn't surprise me if they decided to cut Anchorage in the last moment. Since it is a closed off sidequest with no influence on the rest of the game.
I'm sure Bethesda will eventually make the DLCs available for the PC, but the industry is turning its back on the PC altogether, especially concerning DLCs since there's a real small number of people who actually pay for it. Look at Bioshock 2. 2K openly said they have no plans on releasing any more content for it on the PC.

I decide to get it on PS3 because I think that they dropped the whole "GFWL, exclusivity" bullshit, and I still end up getting screwed... *Sigh...

Zaeed and the Firewalker pack were free regardless when you've purchased ME2, so I don't see how they've made a "quick buck". And the FW pack simply was released later on because it needed more baking time. Kasumi however should have been free, yes, but neither of these were really integral to the story.

Tried Overlord and Lotsb? Paid DLC, yes, but pure condensed awsomeness.

As for Fallout DLC, I don't really care. I'll have more to chew than I can bite off anyway with 70+ hours of playtime.

I edited in the DLC press release into the newspost. Speculate on about PC. It doesn't matter to me since I don't really do DLC.

Fallout: New Vegas first DLC will come out during Christmas period It also will still be a timed exclusive for the Xbox360 platform, exactly like for Fallout 3.
I bet that ps3 versions of the DLC's will also have tons of bugs just like the F3 DLC's for the ps3 which are almost unplayable.

Still sucks for the PS3 owners, they often end up screwed up anyway.

Being a PS3 owner myself, it is a bit annoying, but given the fact that only 2 out of the 5 DLC's they added for FO3 where remotely good (in my opinion), it's not such a huge loss.

I'm pretty sure it will be ready for the PC as well, since it's usually tied into 360 exclusivity.

I just hope we avoid zanny, over the top antics like Mother Ship Zete or Hillybilly Rampage (Point Lookout).

That's the intent, but for us pc gamers at least the community will be able to fix all of our bugs.

You can't fix every bug . Even with Fixed Fallout 3 has plenty bugs.
