New way to assassinate the president

So recently, I came up with a new idea for slaying President Richardson, thus acquiring his presidential access key and not having to slay anybody in combat. I have not yet tried this, so it requires confirmation.

I believe that you can purchase unlimited Roentgen rum or Gamma Gulp beers from the bartenders in the wasteland, such as New Reno or Broken Hills. These drinks increase somebody’s radiation count, and you may require 225 of one of these to endanger somebody’s life. After he takes all of the drinks, all that’s left to do is wait for him to give up the ghost. The main problem with this method is that it’s tedious, but at least then you won’t have to waste and precious Super stimpaks!

I tried this on other game characters and NPCs some years ago. It didn't work. Neutering potential combat enemies with jet and alcohol then waiting 10 minutes DOES work. Fine for Metzger's gang, King Arthur's Knights, Enclave, New Reno families, etc. The game checks characters for everything but radiation. You can buy unlimited amounts of radioactive booze from Wooz in Gecko. You can even use it on an opponent in combat, (it costs 2 AP).
Radiation deaths are sadly not an option.

Damn. I wonder why the game doesn’t check for radiation. Were they afraid of party members expiring?
A lot of the game elements were put together quickly and without forethought. Presumably the designers didn't expect gamers to use items on non-NPCs. If they had they might have made using non-medical items on non-NPCs an aggressive act that resulted in combat.
Radiation testing on every game character every few hours would slow the game down and it would probably create new errors. The only character tested for radiation is main character you control.
