NPC's are annoying, yet painfully accurate.

Bodidly

First time out of the vault
So I have been playing Fallout 1 & 2 after about a 19 year hiatus, and I forgot about how dense the NPC's are when walking around. Without fail, they will either get directly in your way, or walk right in the middle of a doorway and stop. I thought that the dev's did a terrible job with them, till I started paying attention to my wife (and others). THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME!!!! My wife seems oblivious to the fact when I want to walk by sometimes, even though I am walking like I'm on a mission, and then stop directly in front of her. I expect her to move cause I will stare directly at her (for like 2 or 3 seconds), but she doesn't move till I say "excuse me", then she says "oh" as if she thought I wanted to walk up to her and just stare at her, but then realized that I wanted to walk past. The NPC's do the exact same thing. Don't get me wrong, I love my wife, and don't get mad at her when she does this, I just never noticed it until I started playing Fallout again, and got frustrated with the NPC's. The dev's did a good job at pointing out many of our annoying traits/habits. What other annoying things have you seen the NPC's do that is exactly the same thing that we do?

I don't think the NPCs blocking doorways was done on purpose, actually in the first game the developers problably didn't even notice that this could happen, because of it only in Fallout 2 get the option to push NPCs out of your way.

Besides that, I really liked the fact that NPCs could miss shots and hit unintended NPCs (generally using the burst attack), and the ones that got shot, if they survived, would react to it entering in combat and creating some entertaining chaos.

Speaking of entertaining chaos, Sulik has this habit of going into a blood rage! The first time I noticed was during a random encounter, fighting off some slavers. After the slavers were killed, he started going after the homeless people!! That time was annoying, but it turned into a funny race where I try to get out of combat mode as quickly as possible to limit Sulik's carnage with the power sledgehammer!
