NV Isolation

DirkGently

Still Mildly Glowing
Here's a question for you ladies and gents, when you get New Vegas, are you going to keep coming around here as normal or are you going to put yourself in isolation until you felt you've played enough of the game?

I'll probably play a bit of it, get an idea of how good it is (I'm thinking it will be at least decent, you would have to be a pretty shit dev to cock it up) and review it for another site I use. Maybe I'll repost it here.

It's quite simple really. I'll play it, disappear from the community for awhile. Form my own opinion about it, and then discuss accordingly with the community when I decide to come out of my cave.

I've never been one to talk about a game I'm heavily involved with even with local friends. Most either will ruin the game with spoilers or try to tell me what I'm doing wrong with it and how I can be a better powergamer/griefer/over all douche bag.

I am withdrawing from society completely. I even booked the time off work, haha.

Nope. I intend to continue to troll a variety of forums and medias, if not jsut to watch as the posts about how "New Vegas Sucks" rolls in. We all know they're coming, and reading them is going to be like christmas for people like me who enjoy watching people explode with Nerd Rage because Uncle Obsidian didn't make the changes they wanted.

I'll not only be off these boards, but also missing from friends, family and work for several months.

Hardcore mode and ensuring my character has enough food, water and sleep will most certainly mean that I, myself, will be lacking in these basic needs.

I'd like to stay away from other opinions too and just formulate my own, before coming back and posting in the inevitable 'great' and 'so bad' threads.
