Jake Gyllanhal? Disney? A FUCKING MOVIE?
I think I'm going to vomit and spew at the same time.

You do know that hell froze over some time ago, did you I_eat_supermutants?

Now everything is possible and I am not so easily surprised anymore of what things happen out of the blue.

Indeed. There is even a "Decameron" movie. (I hate that book...)

Everything that is not a movie, they will turn in to one.

I can't wait for the 300-The Matrix-Max Payne slow-motion Fallout 3:The Movie.

hey the cartoons about mega men have been pretty nice.

also you have no clue ... :P

not even THAT bad for some fan project

As soon as they learn to make good movies in general, maybe. Which from the looks of things isn't happening anytime soon.

Although, decent vg movies do exist... RE1 was pretty damn good.

I'm probably going to see this movie, even though it might be trash. It has, after all, a buffed up, semi nude Jake Gyllenhaal in it.

Also, you found out about this movie just now? Hasn't the trailer been floating around for half a year at the least?

Reminds me why I prefer the 80s when it came to movies.

They weren't all that good either but at least they often entertained you without making you feel like a moron.

I feel a lot of these remakes, prequels, reboots, game/comic/book to movies demand that you lower your taste and acceptance of things.

Been following this project for a while (which is easy considering I'm friends with the director), and from what I've seen this will be one of the better Video Game movies, hell it even uses the music from the games redone by another composer.

There's plenty of good movies nowadays. They're just the ones that make zero dollars at the box office. Or the ones that art in really arty theatres 80 billion miles from where I live and then I have to wait for the dvd.

Usually monetary success means a crappy movie. Hell, look at Avatar. Nothing but pretty visuals and a completely lackluster and unoriginal story.

Hey thats a cool thing. Well as said for a fan project it looks amazing.

Though it doesnt happen that you know the name of the music used for the trailer ? I know the first track is from Transformers 1, but I really cant say what the second one is in the last minute of the trailer ... but I could swear I heard it in other trailers as well.

woa, wait a minute. Surely you don't mean this decameron right? wtf does this have to do with Hollywood or modern cinema? it's from 1971 and it's by Pasolini (awesome by default).

For me, it's one of the most unbelievable things to be turned in to a movie.

I am a bit confused, is Decamaron just some obscure name for a movie or do we talk here about a movie adaption from The ( II ) Decameron

How to do a movie with that in mind ? Or is it like the game Dantes Inferno where the game only shares the name with the book / comedy and nothing else.

Film adaptation of the novel. Pasolini did a few of those in the 70s. I still think it's a poor example of the current trend in Hollywood to make movies out of games, comics, etc. because: A. it's not current, and B. it's not Hollywood.

As for how to do a movie with that in mind, well, the right way to answer that is to watch it and see for yourself ;-)
