Patching Fallout V 1.0

So I decided to go and replay the first Fallout and found out that I have version 1.0 and wanted to update it with the proper patches and mods. Unfortunately I'm apparently very bad at this, most links for the most recent patches that I could find either led to a Russian site (a language I cannot read) or the links were just plain broken or ended with 404 errors. Once I managed to find a copy of the V1.2 patch I downloaded it, followed the instructions for installation, ...and changed nothing. I swear I followed the instructions properly, I replaced the old files with new ones but for whatever reason the falloutw.exe doesn't want to work and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Basically I guess this all boils down to a few questions:

1. What patch do I want?

2. Where can I find it?

3. Who do I install it?

4. Is there anything else I should worry about installing?

This is for the American version of Fallout V 1.0 on Windows XP. Thanks for the help guys, sorry for failing.

First, reinstall the game to ensure all your previous patch attempts are gone.

Download this patch and install it first:

Patch 1.2

Next download and install this patch:

Patch 1.3.4

That is it. You are done and ready to enjoy Fallout 1. Be sure to read the installation instructions that come with the patches to ensure everything is done correctly.

Ok those did it, it runs kind of slow at first but speeds up after playing for a little while. Thanks for your help!
