Where'd That 6th Toe Come From?
After I spammed over all the Fallout discussion board, it's time to raid this area too. Fallout is, after all, the best game ever. So some fanart is in order.

And yeah, fallout-related pictures suggestions are totally in order.

Very stylish. The Woozer approves intensely. Love the poses.

'Xcept the deathclaw pic. Looks good, but stands out as a sore amongst the other pics, which are brilliant.

wow, just wow.

GREAT work.

it'd be awesome if you could retouch them a little and post them again. (pencil lines etc)

Thanks a lot guys :) I really appreciate your comments.

About retouching and reposting - I've most likely done something with the originals and deleted the workfiles, so they're all beyond help. Besides it's easier to draw new stuff. As I said above, anything fallout-oriented will be considered and, eventually, drawn. :)

well, i dont know. i'd be happy with pretty much ANYTHING in that style!

how about some oldskool BoS armor? maybe in a scene like the FO1 intro with the canadian soldier.

Like them all except the deathclaw, reminds me of *gasp* pokemon...

Same, except i like Pokemon. :d

Seriously, nice job. If there's one thing i could complain about, it's how you draw lower body parts, feet, in particular. But no biggie, those pics are still pretty darn cool, regardless.

Keep 'em coming. :)

Great stuff.

Consider uploading it to our fan art gallery, will ya?

Totally, but only if you would just tell me how . . . sorry, am new here.

Here you go then. My first take at the ole' T-51b, plus I read here on the boards, that ref was scarce. And indeed it is. I hade to make more than half of it up, then again I did use the FO1 intro video and the game model, so the alterations should be minor.

I had loads of fun and am proud of myself.

Sure, just go here

Fill in some info, select the pic and press upload. It won't appear immediately, one of our mods or admins has to approve it first, but it'll be up right quick enough

Very Supa Kools!

I don't mind the Death Claw at all, it fits the style. Really nice job on Vault Boy, its different but not in an awkward way.

Bethesda should take you in to make a comic or something for an extra to a special edition Fallout 3.

Now if you're taking requests, lets see what you can do with Marcus, The Chosen and a a pack of fire geckos surrounding the two, and maybe a herd of Brahmin just to spice things up.

Patriot, I absolutely hate you for having an excellent sense of character poses. (j/k) It shows how much I've got to work on my own stuff, as most of the stuff I do 'out of my head', the poses usually look... somewhat flyswatted onto the paper.

As for requests. Mebbez something involving this website's name?

not bad. but i do have some gripes with it though.

and while they're pretty minor, you did ask for opinions!

T-51b.jpg

1) the interface or whatever on the shoulder. probably the worst place to put something like that.
2) the shape of the shoulder pieces looks worse than the original. lets face it, the original is hard to beat.
3) the handle going up to the joystick seems out of proportion and kinda useless overall.
4) the carrying handle itself looks out of proportion as well. there's no need for it to be that broad and high.
5) the minigun looks 'flat' and lacks barrels.
6) and the belly portion of the PA looks a little thin (and perhaps adorned with too many gimmicky stuff).

and here's the main reference to T-51b but sadly it only show the upper portion.

Good.

1) it's a strange metal inlay, teh like of which I've seen on metal plates. In Fallout. No buttons, no interface. A friend of mine is currently coloring it, so that shouldn't be a problem - you'll see what I mean when it's done.

2) I did some ref and am pretty sure they're pretty close, the problem is with the way I build volumes - they always look weird to those unaccustomed. Plus there's bound to be at least one suit of Power armor with different pads. Will bear in mind for next time, though. I might have lost it while clearing the lines up too, beacause of messy pencils.

3) and 4) yeah, but the minigun was totally not the point. Should've ref'ed more, but was not in the mood.

5) it is possible, though highly improbable, to see only three of the 6 barrels, from a certain position. Coloring will help a lot here. The problem with the barrels is overall laziness - I should've turned the muzzle a little towards us, but that's totally not the point. Plus taht would've killed the initial life of the drawing. See, if a drawing is not done quickly, when you're in the mood, you are more likely to just kill it. All those little inaccuracies actually help the drawing seem alive. Or so I believe.

6) Yes and no. There should be gimmicky stuff SOMEWHERE and around the overlapping portions there's bound to be more of it. I did exagerate the hip-shoulders proportions a little, but the overall silhoutte of the Power armor is such - with a thin waist. Helps the heroic feel.

Thanks a lot for the crits, it did make me consider being more careful when doing Fallout fanart. Most of the time the reaction is blank stares, for I hadn't known many people with such a passion ofr the game. Before I got here.

well, only if the barrels would be perfectly aligned would the front 3 hide the back 3.

either way, the barrels should likely also be spaced closer to eachother. now it looks just overly bulky for no apparent reason (though i'll grant you that it's technically possible).

and we're glad to have people like you drawing such excellent art for us!

we want more!

I failed miserably with the Marcus/Fire Gecko composition, but came up with that, because of that failure.

Here you go guys, NMA and brahmin.

well done. I finally know what it looks like to have a Gibson with muscles.

P.S : I ask you the same question as Señor Deluxe, can I put your drawings in the "Fan Art" place on Nukacola.com'?
