Point Lookout: a buggy release?

I feel like I could've written this newspost a week ago.

Anyway, seems like it's the 4th buggy DLC release in a row for Bethesda, though it seems a bit early to determine whether these are sporadic or universal issues, Cinemablend reports.
Point Lookout, the fourth downloadable episode for Fallout 3, arrived on the PC and Xbox 360 this morning. In what's become sort of a common routine with Fallout 3 DLC, a few bugs have cropped up.

A few users on the Bethesda forums are already reporting freezing and other glitches. The complaints mention both the Xbox 360 and PC versions.

It's tough to say just from a couple complaints whether these are universal issues, though. Most North American folks are at work or school now so we'll see if the volume of complaints picks up later in the day. The last two downloadable episodes The Pitt and Broken Steel experienced issues though so it's not outside the realm of possibility for bugs to crop up in Lookout, too.

We all knew this was going to happen just like the sun coming up.

Except that one day when a giant Doughnut took it's place, but I digress.

I was slightly amazed when I saw just the "Point Lookout released" new and no other news, I was even thinking about posting that.

Now this explains everything.

I wonder if they are going to go through the same things again when the PS3 versions are released.

That's the first time I've seen the term 'crop up' used in regard to buggy software. It makes it sound unidentifiable and blameless.

Par for the course I guess.

Bethesda releasing buggy crap? I am shocked. I am just so shocked right now.

I could not be more shocked than I am right now.

Never before has anyone been as shocked as I am.

This is the most shocking thing I have heard since learning that the secret to a long life was breathing.

Heck if the bugginess gets more attention maybe Beth will actually focus on patches that fix things.
I doubt it though what with all the "We don't patch our games because we prefer to look towards the future" or watever Todd said a while back.

Well Bethesda has clearly learned their lesson: Release buggy DLC, it saves time and money. It is forth bugged DLC in a row and people are still wasting their money. You would think they would have learned by now.

well bethseda seems to perfected releasing buggy stuff and proud of it :o

4 addons and 4 buggy releases , thats gotta be a first

Sorry, boys, but I've been playing Point Lookout all day and haven't encountered a single glitch. It's hardly the same scenario.

It's leaps and bounds better than the other DLCs -- the first of the bunch that truly is worth the price tag.

true it almost has become a tradition now to just in general "blame" Microsoft in some obscure way when the DLCs from Bethesda are not working correctly or how they should even though when other content you can get trough Microsofts Live system work pretty well.

How people still not blame Bethesda is beyond my head. I mean its not like a "single" case thise bug issues happen since Oblivion (and even before it). And I have to say games had always issues with bugs but Bethesda sure is even a bit worse compared to that.
