Lived Through the Heat Death
Chris Applehans is an artist that sometimes works for Black Isle Studios. He`s the man that brought us the famous Gasbot.
Now he brings us this pic called Junkyard:<center>

And this one called pc_wasteland:

Sweet!
The idea that this may be art destined to Fallout3 doesn`t have official confirmation, so we can`t confirm it or deny it.
So until then i`ll leave a couple more pics from that talented artist:

thanks NCR_Ranger for the heads up.

love the 3rd and 4th one...

Fallout is supposed to be "post-apocalyptic" but now i can't help
imagining the "rennaisance" of the Fallout world....

big cities with towers, highways, cars, busy streets....

the evolution of Fallout...the possibilities...

My vision may be faulty, but all the cars on the road to Denver appear to be... dead. It looks as if they were all stopped in their tracks once the bombs fell. The skyscrapers are, likewise, utterly destroyed - although the wooden bridge connecting the two indicates some recent activity.

The junkyard and the wasteland character are quite Fallout-y, but I can't figure out the dome. Men in suits look ghoulish, but why would ghouls wear those suits?

Refresh my memory.. How exactly is the wasteland character picture even remotely Falloutish?

Hmm, I love the third one, dead cities and stuff. Too bad we didn't really see any huge skyscrapers or the like in FO1 or 2.
The men in suits are mainly Fallout-y (to me at least) because of the fact that they are in those suits. It makes it seem as if they are busy doing stuff(maybe for the government...whatever) in a radioactive environment, and that at itself is quite fallout-y. ;)

But I don't see the Fallout-y thing with the wasteland character either. Although it wouldn't be misplaced, I wouldn't really think Fallout either.

actually those men in those suits looks dead to me, maybe another test in a vault, which kill them while they were trying to get out ?

That pc_wasteland picture looks, erm..strange... behold the huge left arm compared to the right one.. haha nice one!
And what's with all that stuff he's wearing, looks strange.. who would want that huge "armour", which would probably only serv to slow him down..

I like the Denver one! But this would have been right after the bombs fell, since no one has scavenged the cars and such..

You are right. Wasteland and Fallout are in no way related. No, sir.

The guys in the suits look like clowns to me. Every time I look at it I see paint on their faces...spooky.

Mohrg

I don't think his arm is thicker...look closely and you can see that it looks huge, with veins, like Arnold. Look even closer, and you can see that the area is way to dark to determine exactly what is what. Those "veins" are probably just wires...the apparent "thickness" of his arm is probably just shading, color, and cloth or something.

But yeah...not very Fallout-y...unless, of course, this is going to take place just after the bombs are dropped...which it isn't.

The dominate arm can be much larger, more developed, than the "younger" side. Even with , or inspite of, "weight training".

SymMetry in human pHysiology is a 'cultural' aesthetic. Save it for pin ups. Maybe that's why Lara Croft (and Chuck Cuevas) trains with dual guns akimbo so her (his) pec's match......

BI-dextrial?

Yah,we could ask those with an affinity for pistoles akimbo if they are:

BI-DEXTRIAL.

Another LUCRATIVE(c) demographic.
