Question about burst damage

I'v just started messing with FOT editor. There's something confusing me: How does burst damage work? For example: I have an ak47 with 10-22 dam firing 8 rounds per burst. If i change the damage to 20-44, but only fire 4 rounds per burst. Assume all shots hit the target. Does it cause the same damage to the target as the original one did??

No. Damage threshold substracts from each round separately, so having 10 round long burst with 10 damage against 5/0 armor will result in (10-5)*10=50 total, while 5 rounds doing 20 each will be (20-5)*5=75 total.
