Reggarding karma and titles

Water Chip? Been There, Done That
Would it be too much work (or possible for that matter), to make and apply a text message in the text interface that announces karma gains after completing quests or killing critters? something like (below the message you gain x amount of xp): "you gain good karma", "you gain bad karma", "you gain good reputation", "you gain bad reputation", "you have become a berserk", "you're now known as a champion of the people", etc, etc...? so you are made aware of the changes in rep, karma, and title recognitions, at the moment they happen without going to the character sheet screen?

just an idea...

Um... depends on what you want to do. For some, it would be really easy to do. I mean, if you kill a child, you get the childkiller trait. To have an additional message appear in the box at the same time is quite easy scripting-wise. Of course, all child scripts would need to be modified, to add in this very easy one line of code. Others (even the childkiller one) could be modified in the obj_dude script. Since some of those other titles are determined by global variables, then it can be scripted to display the message (only once) as soon as the right amount for that global variable is met.

Maybe this same principle can be used for every instance of raising and lowering karma. Just means extra lines of code in the obj_dude script. I can see maybe making the script changes for the bigger titles, maybe... but not each time karma increases/decreases.

Luckily, sfall can do that part without any script changes. Included in 1.43. :)

Not possible in FO1 i'm assuming? It's a shame that your awesome script-relating functions only work in FO2
