That's it. No more info. Maybe in E3?

Opinions?

I'm almost willing to bet that what ever the game will be, it'll not have any of the grain and jaggedness that made the original series so special, but instead be an overproduced, overdeveloped, overstreamlined and overpolished (possibly multiplayer centric) open world first person shooter like all other similiar games of its ilk, as is the trend.

Not looking forward to it. It'll only end in tears.

I was never a fan of the STALKER sequels so my love for STALKER is only reserved for the flawed masterpiece that is SoC. Clear Sky was too buggy and felt like a rehash of the same maps with a poorly fleshed out faction system (still thought it was good tho) and Call of Pripyat felt unbelievably dull and boring. (I have no earthly clue why people love it so much)

My biggest problem with the sequels was the change in art style (it looked more cell shaded/stylized in the later games opposed to what felt like a more "realistic" look in SoC) and the complete lack of interest in improving anything major. There was so much cut content in SoC that sounded really cool like many more areas, monsters, vehicles and etc to the point they made a kinda poorly put together mod for it that it feels like a damn shame they were too lazy to put any of it in the sequels. They just shit the same buggy sequel back to back same year in a row. No wonder GSC had financial problems.

This could be like the experiment in Far Cry 2. It would be something else, something strange or something unique. It will not be the SHOC 2 we want. Maybe we can see a new x-ray engine. S2 could be a failure, but it's worth a try.
