First, its good to be back! Somehow my old mail has been inactive since last year so I lost my Password!! Yup! I'm Mr. Bhass.
Well my new name Choro means Cockroach (hah..hah..) nuff talking!!

Well now in Indonesia, everyone talked about SARS (Severely Accute Respiratory Syndrome) and forget the Iraqi War.
5 people infected here (while at least 150 in Singapore). So to prevent the contamination, I'm going to buy a mask. Some doctor said 0.3 micron Mask oughta be good but some guy told me it useless. :shock: Anyone know any good mask?
What I want is a military gas mask (Well we could also get SARS from Eye liquid) and Me and Nrimo lan Sumeh planned to bribe our friend in Brits Army to send us several Iraqi War surplus mask., but if our friend get caught, we planned to purchase one. Anyone know any address? (Not US Cavalry Again!!!)

Oh yeah! How about our friend in Canada? I heard lots of people infected there? And why the virus seems to infect country with high Chinese population? (i.e. China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, etc...)

Well if things getting worse, perhaps Me and NLS should stay in our Bunker (We have one! Use to house electronics and Scientific Project) for ten years.........(hmm... too much playing SOA i think!)

Here in MOntreal in Chinatown, i have a friend who is a chef in a chineese retaurant and he told methat business is down, but not that may people are wearing masks.

I heard on the news, that outside asia, Canada is the worst hit country by SARS.
I work in a hotel and last week they handed us instructions on what to do if one of us or a custumer has the syptoms.

Starskeeter is more in the asian community than i, so he probably has more info on this.

It may not be as deadly as the press makes it out to be. As with the flu virus, some precautions may help to avoid getting it. Be very anal about washing your hands with antibacterial soap before even thinking about touching your face. That is the hardest habit to break, even scratching your nose isn't a good idea. Try to avoid areas where there are lots of people like crowded buses. Be careful about foods, don't eat anything you don't cook yourself.

My uncle's a doctor in the Toronto area, so he knows what masks to wear. Don't go for anything cheap, and don't buy anything that's really easy to breath through. You want something called an N95. Its a type of mask that all the doctors wear in this area, and it has like a 97% chance of stopping SARS, as compared to 15% in other masks being sold.

My best advice would be to self-quarantine yourself and just surf the internet for a few days. Then maybe you could get some of that FEV stuff and mind-meld with your motherboard and become the new Master. Just a thought..,
 
Heh, just a week ago, a report was released by on of the bigger Dutch medical information centres, which had been working for a while on how well the Netherlands would withstand an epedemic of any kind.

We're already pretty bad at animal illness (pig plague, bird plague, BSE), but it turns out that if SARS ever reached the Netherlands, we'd be complete unable to do anything about it...

Hope it doesn't...Duh.
 
We sure got some troubles with animal diseases :) I don't worry about Sars though. Perhaps because we still don't have any ill reports here..
Anyway, chance of being killed by smoking must be like 10000x bigger, so fuck all smokers wining about Sars!
I also read mortality rate with Sars is around 5%, and mostly people with bad health or of old/very young age.

i normally wouldn't be worried about SARS, but just around the time when the epidemic started, i watched the movie "28 days". good movie, but scary. and if you live in a SARS affected area, it's real scary...the virus (or is it bacteria now?) hasnt appeared in Croatia yet, but one case was discovered in nearby Slovenia. but The Dude is right. i'm more worried about being killed by passive smoking than by SARS.

Sars is the name of some guy who live closeby. There is two of the the Sars-brothers. They are enginers in electronics. Wonder why the rest of the world is so afraid of them. I will tell you if they are going to Belgia, Kharn so don't worry.

I'm Dutch anyway, I hate the Belgians by default. Like the British hating the French.

Actually, global killers tend to come from uncharted areas that are rich in diversity of lifeforms, which is mostly african rain forest
