Sequels that should be f***ing made.

People watch my crappy old videos? Only made that because it seemed like something that should have been on youtube already. :)

And yeah, a sequel would be great. Especially since Blood 2 wasn't very good (still decent though)... Though nowadays a Blood sequel would probably turn out like Duke Nukem Forever. I'd much rather have the source code for B1 released than a sequel anyway.

Arcanum, I wish there would of been an arcanum 2. Such a great game in every way(except combat).

Psychonauts - DO I even need to explain this one? More of the same but with improved controls a whole new story, heck maybe even a new cast if need be. Just more in the Psychonauts universe.

Shadowrun (The SNES version) The genesis version may be superior in many ways but I loved the SNES version more (especially the kick ass music.) And god damnit, they promised us Shadowrun 2 and then never delivered! (End game credits say "this isn't over! I'll see you in shadowrun 2!" or something along those lines as a message from the final boss.)

Chrono Trigger - NOT Chrono Cross but a true sequel to Chrono Trigger. Maybe something done in the same art style as Dragon Quest 9 for the DS)

A true sequel to Final Fantasy Tactics (Rather than the spin-off series of Tactics Advance) something dark, full of betrayal and political backstabings.

Jet Grind Radio / Jet Set Future - Its been long enough, we need this series to come back, and the Wii U's touch screen, or the Wii Mote or PSMove would be perfect for the graffiti part of the gameplay.

Eternal Darkness - We all want this.

I would LOVE to see a Blood 3.

I would really like to see a new Lost Vikings game as I liked the ones on the SNES and the PC.

They were a combination of puzzle/platform games which puzzles could be tricky but were not fiendish difficult (though I never finished the SNES version so I am not sure how much that holds)

I especially liked Lost Vikings 2 with all those voice actors (can't recall their names)

Another game I would like to see a sequel to is the Boktai series on the Gameboy Advance.
They are your typical Japanese 'fight against vampires and monsters' thing but I really liked the mix of Spaghetti Western meets Castelvania atmosphere .
There was a DS game but I did not like that game as much as I did the original three games, especially part 3.

A new Metal Gear game would also be nice, but not a Metal Gear Solid game.
I am more thinking about Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake, and Metal Gear Ghost Babel (Metal Gear Solid on the GBC here in the West) with its overhead action and focus on gameplay rather than cutscenes.
I would prefer if it would take place in an alternate universe than the MGS one, either another one taking place after MG2 SS, or continuing the Ghost Babel universe.

No more emphasis on nano machines, and while secret organizations like spy agencies are okay, no more the Iluminati like Patriots or Philosophers, I am sick of them.

Another Strike Commander game would also be cool as I really like the alternative timeline portrayed in that franchise; the collapse of the majority of states and the rise of mercenary squadrons.

It would be cool if you could be a member of the Wildcats again.

For that matter, a new Wing Commander game would also be nice.
And while we are at it, why not a real Privateer 3.

Probably mentioned here before, but a Bioforge 2, that game cries for a sequel.

A proper Monkey Island 3.
Look I love Curse of Monkey Island, but since then the series has been haphazard at best, Escape stunk and tales by Telltale went way overboard with the fantasy and anachronism stuff.

I want Gilbert and his former cronies from Lucasarts to pen a 'final' Monkey Island, something in the style of Monkey Island 1 and 2's 'realistic' style that could serve as an ending for the original 2 games.
After that make as much sequels as you want, I could view them as alternate storyline stuff.

A sequel to Sub Culture, a real sequel unlike Deep Fighter.
I still love Sub Culture, the underwater Elite with the minuscule humanoids and their submarines, and I would like to explore a new seabed full of underwater colonies, caverns, reefs, and 'gigantic' sea life.

Haha yeah, that was a cool game. I never played Deep Figher, but I heard it was not exactly like Sub Culture.
Oh well.
A more true sequel to Schleichfahrt (Archimedean Dynasty) would be cool, too. AquaNox was way too simple.

Thats why i wrote "on another sequel to blood" ;) 2 wasnt worth mentioning.

I'd love to see a quality Command & Conquer game again.
Essentially, there is a sequel already in making, but after the disappointment concerning Tiberian Twilight, I don't really have my hopes up, regardless of the developers's change.

4 was a mistake. 3, not so much.

It wasn't Westwood, sure, but it was playable, and Kucan was awesome as ever.

Can't say that for Red Alert, haven't played the EA spawns.

Generals was a fun game. Again, not Westwood, but a fun game.

Tiberian Twilight is just shit. It had some slight improvements, if I recall correctly, but too much changes from the basic gameplay and an idiotic story buried it.

lets face it anything EA made was mediocre. C&C 3 was decent enough with Kane and all.

So a real CC sequel would be awesome.

Yeah, it was mediocre. Some are fun, but yeah, mediocre. I agree with that.

Which is impossible without Westwood. Like I've said, I'd like to see a good C&C, but chances are low, and I don't think anything that is more than mediocre would come out.

A couple ideas on the topic:

1) Shadowrun First-Person RPG- Something along the lines of Fallout and Deus-Ex classic. No lame shooter online shit. I want to see a Cyberpunk city with next-gen graphics. The Deus-Ex remake dumbed down things too much though, so I am not happy about that. I am afraid a remake of Shadowrun would succumb to a similiar fate.....

2) Earthbound for Wii) I loved the classic Earthbound JRPG series for NES and SNES, but they are not as popular in the States. The humor was always really good for a RPG and it was set in modern times, so cars, aliens, psychic power and that sort of thing, as opposed to dragons and swords. Nintendo needs to support more of their titles like this I think.

To be perfectly honest though I would like to see more original titles than remakes or reboots. :?

Why first-person? Do we really need more of those?

The game worked fine as an isometric RPG, and that's even more surprising seeing as it was a SNES/Genesis game.

To be honest I rather enjoy New Vegas as opposed to Fallout 3, so I am convinced that a FPS RPG can be just as good as isometric depending on the developer. Although Diablo 3 does cause me to lean in that direction. I think FPS graphics engines can pull off a cyberpunk city..... look at Prey 2. Honestly a RPG sequel to Shadowrun alone would be fine regardless of FPS or otherwise though so.....

Huh! I was re-playing Blood 2 this morning. I would love it if Monolith would make another Blood game instead of another F.E.A.R game, because "F.E.A.R" died immediately after the second entry in the series.

Yeah original blood was awesome, never really played blood 2 past the first level. I think warner bros owns Blood these days. If they make it i really wish they will revert the setting back to the early 1900s with its weird cultists, weapons and classic monsters.

Agreed. The original Blood was one of the creepiest games I have ever played. The second one isn't as serious as the first game but it's still one helluva ride. You should definitly give the gog.com version a try. It comes with the soundtrack, expansion(Nightmare Levels - one of the best expansions ever IMO) and etc. for only 5.99
Worth every cent if you ask me.

Kingpin: Life Of Crime, one of my all time favorites, it's 100% nasty.

Fucking A.
One of the reasons I opened this thread. Kingpin needs a sequel.
I wonder how a gritty reboot (as if there is another kind of reboot these days) of Kingpin would look like.
