So all they released was this

With more to come at E3 wonder what it's all about?

Elves and crossbows? Something like that. I think someone looked through the files with mod tools.

Not much to speculate on based on the one teaser image. If I were a Bethesda fan, I'd be pretty annoyed at their PR

Yeah, a name and a generic release date of Summer is quite irritating.

Especially knowing that if you don't have an Xbox you don't get it until a month later.

Oh boy, a generic CGI guy with glowy eyes! That's so... pointless.
Heck a picture of a dude wielding a crossbow would have been more interesting.

The TESO trailer was nondescript too. Bethesda seems to be getting kind of lazy with PR. They can afford it though, people are hyped regardless.

With all the DLC for Oblivion, they better do more or they are flushing potential down the toilet.

Why not travel to Cyrodil for a counter-attack on the Dominion?

Just so you know, the plot seems to be:

In Whogivesafuckistan, you save the daughter of Mr. Exposition; who opens the door to a Daedric pocket realm to let you fuck shit up as a flying demon. However, there's a catch: some weirdos seem to want you the fuck dead. So? Kill them, and everything in Whogivesafuckistan. However, you also give the crazy dude (who, if TES lore is right, is something beyond a vampire) an Elder Scroll, which he plans to use to seal a hole in the sky that is Tamriel's sun.

Considering that a crazy group who wants to decreate the universe uses magic powered by the sun, he may not be such a bad dude after all.

Also, considering Beth's PR tactics, the teaser for Fallout 4 may very well just be the title design on a rusty background or something.

*Yawn*. The flaming horse and crossbows are the only thing that pique my interest. The dragon diving in ice is neat too, wonder how it will work in actual gameplay.

I strongly doubt I'll be spending 20 bucks on that however.

what would be cool if they finally would allow people to fly dragons. Or even "transform" in a dragon or something like that. THAT would be a cool thing.

That game came out, and was a better RPG IMO. It was called Divinity 2 Ego Draconis.

To be fair, it had dedicated areas where you could be a dragon, and you almost always just fought (memory's hazy). Being able to ride one or be one in a open world is different. Then again, like Oblivion it would also show how small the gameworld actually is when you can go from one end to another in minutes.

Damn, cool armour and crossbows. They get me every time with their slick marketing.
Didn't see anything else though. :V

From the trailer, I think they are adding in the ability from the game jam to transorm into a Vampire Lord, which was that huge batlike creature.

dragons dude! D R A G O N S ! screw vampires. Since twilight they have become pussies that glow in the sunlight.

For those of you with a Xbox Live Account, a copy of Skyrim for the Xbox, and a Bethesda Forums account, you can sign up for the Dawnguard beta for shits and giggles. I just did, although I'm just gonna rent Skyrim for the Xbox again if I get into the beta. I'm not paying 50 bucks for that shit and 15 for its new shit, I've got college shit to pay for.

Gameinformer has had an article on Dawnguard and here are the bullet points cribbed from the Skyrim forums.

Some bloke said:
There will be new dragons to fight that will be tougher for the player.
-There will be a Lycanthropy tree with new powers, including the "Totem of the Moon" which shall allow werewolves to summon up other fellow werewolves. There is one called "Savage feeding" and "Animal vigor".
-The vampire Lord is named Harkon.
-Harkon's castle is named Castle Volkihar, which also can serve as a home for the player. As well as Castle Dawnguard. Players will be given a safe haven in either one of these castles. Vampiric players will be given bottles of blood that will give health and also count as "feedings."
-Skills with the crossbow count as archery.
-Harkon attempts to put an end to the sun using the ancient Elder Scrolls.
-New Dragonshout that will cause players to tear a soul and use the souless body to fight for him,
-We shall make a return to the "Soul Cairn", a realm of the dead seen in Battlespire.
-There will be a new vampiric power where you suspend a foe in the air and drain them(seen in the trailer). The player can transform at will into the vampire lord and transform back into the regular form. Players can also turn into a swarm of bats(seen in the previews).
-The Vampire Lord transformation is gained by completing quests, as the companions.
-There will be a new facial transformation feature to modify your face. Race change is not in the game, but players shall now be able to change their appearance.
-Dawnguard is NOT meant for low-level players.
-New enemies such as Armored trolls, death hounds and legendary dragons.
-Dragonbone weapons.

There is a 'Vampire Lord' perk tree. Earn perks by using drain life or the bite power attack; each perk requires a specific amount of feedings to attain.

There is a Werewolf perk tree

The monster that came through a wall in the trailer was a gargoyle.

New shouts like 'soul tear',where you steal the soul of a dead enemy and use it as a minion.

The character that can change the players face/gender lives in Riften's ratway.

Dragonbone weapons and a werewolf tree have been asked for since about the second day of Skyrim's release.
