Slavery Expanded re-released

So, I've been wondering about how I could make the sell of Den's children work. So far I came up with something more or less like this:

1) Get the job from Metzger. A special client of his needs a couple of child slaves (let's say 4-5), but the kids ran away at the sight of him or his slavers. He needs you to do the work, since you are relatively new to the guild and perhaps they won't run away from you.
2) You need a Charisma of at least 6 to initialize a dialogue with a kid or else they will not talk to you and\or run
3) If you manage to talk with a kid, you have several options to convince him to come with you. Now what would be the most simple solution? I though of:
a) being able to bribe them with relatively expensive item and promise that if they go to that shady looking house with a couple of their friends, they will get more. This would provide you with all the kids you need and would require not only the item, but also good persuasion. I fear it may be too easy to deal with this that way.
b) be able to knock them out, but the other kids will realise you're up to no good and will run from you. Alas, one kid is better then none and you still get paid
c) Any other ideas?
4) Receive the award for either one or more kids

I would appreciate a brainstorm. Remember - the most simple solution you can think of will be the best.

Well what do you know? Slavery Expanded now works with Killap's RP 2.1.1. Download link in the first post. Have fun and try it out if it works, I'll appreciate the feedback.

I will try to get some more work done in the following days.

That's good news!
I'll play with your mod in my next game.
My next character will be bad, off course.

I'm not sure about they running away from you just because you're ugly, it's a post nuclear world, so beautiful people aren't that common. A float text saying "We don't talk with strangers." or something like that would be enough, I think. And if they run away from you, you wouldn't need to worry about being stolen anymore. It would benefit you.

I just got a idea, I don't know if it's good/stupid:
You remember the meal Mom ask to you to deliver to Smitty (the mechanic)?
What if you could sedate the food and offer it to the childrens?
First you would need to be able to talk with them (if you have charisma 6+), then you would need to pass a skill check, if you have a high speech %, you convince them (otherwise the'll get suspicious about a strange offering them food).
Metzger would give you the sedative after you accept his quest to capture the childs. If asked why he have a sedative, he would tell something like that "I have it because sometimes this damn slaves freak out*, trying to escape, and they get in my nerves! This thing calm them down, put them in there places. They're slaves, they need to get used to it. But there's always a fool that thinks he can escape. I don't have eletric fences, so this is the solution."
*= I meant that they get crazy, insane, in panic, they lose control.

Metzger have a lot of chemicals (he even have a church full of it), thanks to his transitions with the Enclave, and other traders, so get some (or make) sedatives shouldn't be a problem to him.

What do you think?

Nice option to characters with bad charisma/low intelligence.
This will make the BB gun/rocks usefull, because many weapon cause way too much damage to kids, killing them accidentaly.
I suggest that you receive less money for getting just one or two kids. Maybe less XP, also.

Well, the most simple way I can think of is:
For characters with good charisma and speech skill:

You convince the orphans that you have found some nice people that want to adopt/take care of them, and tell them to go to "X" house (where the client will be waiting).

For characters with low charisma (5-):

You attack the kids (knock them out) and get as many them as possible. After that you get your money from Metzger.
This way is easier (because you only need to be good in a combat skill), but you have the risk to get Child Killer, and your reward is not so good (- money and - XP).

Just a few things to keep in mind regarding any potential story lines, slavery, and children:

-Sure, it might be especially evil to enslave them. However, all the kids play a role in the Den. They work for the merchants. I doubt they (the merchants) would take too kindly to one of their sources of goods drying up.

-If taking the kids is a quest given as a result of becoming a slaver and because Metzger's guys are already known, then charisma/beauty/intelligence doesn't matter anyway. Your character has the slaver brand/tattoo. That alone would/should cause any kids to run from you (as it already causes people to treat you differently).

-There are plenty of children available in random encounters. This allows the Den critters to remain untouched for use in other quests.

-But, if you are hellbent on using kids from the Den: maybe if your character knows Mom wants to build the orphanage and you have done some of the legwork already, then the kids could go to their new "home" only to be intercepted by the slavers. Perhaps a random roll could be used to show that one or more of the kids got away, and would still appear on the Den maps in their normal locations. No reason to think your character will not be hated in the Den for this, once word has gotten out that you betrayed Mom, the vagrants, and the kids.

Well I was thinking that with high enough Charisma, you may still talk to the kids despite being a slaver.

For example:

-What do you want from me? You're a slaver!
-Oh you mean the tattoo? Don't worry, it's not real. I put it on so the bad slavers think I'm one of them and they don't hurt me. I am a friend of Mom's and she wanted me to tell you that she has enough leftovers to feed you and a couple of your friends! Head over to her house and she'll give it to you.

Of course I forgot to mention that this quest will give you a huge karma loss and will piss of Mom, Becky and the merchants who lost their source of goods.

Using the brats from Den would be the easiest way, since it would require modifications of only one script.

Also, the sedatives sound pretty nice. I'll think about it.

On this i think it would be fairly easy to work around. Considering the involvement of the kids in the Den's running, having it's stores functional would be advantageous to the Slavers. Not only would they source/bully some of their gear from the locals, having a fully functional hub would provide a lot more customers coming through and provide sustainability for their setup.

Something like "Lastly, don't touch the local kids. I don't much care for the little fuckers but they help keep things running around here. "

Your reputation in town will suffer a penalty, too?
And what the merchants, Becky, etc, will do to you after you finish this quest? They will attack you at view/don't barter/ask you to leave?

Hard to imagine Mom attacking you :) I guess that Becky may send her guards to attack you on sight, but the merchant would rather just tell you to fuck off or at least give you a big shopping penalty. Mom wouldn't simply talk to you.

Just an update to keep you informed, guys. I did some job on the mod, but unfortunatly my last week was consumed by probation (8 hours straight of dealing with biological material like pee or blood) in a medical lab. The next week will look the same. What's more, I've gotten ill. I will try to wrap it up as quickly as I can and let you sell those annoying Den kiddies, but it's not gonna happen soon.

There’s no need to rush Ravager69, finished the mod when you have the time…your health is more important.

Hey Ravager. I'm still working away on this mod, and we have the same designs for it so if you're still keen
PM me and we'll try to figure it out together.

Don't worry about the mod, your health is much more important. I'm sure your mod will rock, I think even killap will make it a option in the installer of Restoration Project.

Oh I'm healthy already, don't you mind that :D It's not that I am doing anything hard, but modding Fallout is simply time-consuming. Besides, waiting for Josan to respond to my PM before doing anything.

OK, i'm not sure why i moved my slavery questions away from this thread but i'm gonna move them back here from the 'Radiation' thread to avoid confusion.

My question is: I want to make a new NPC critter i've made 'sellable' to slave buyers. How would i go about doing this?

Whoops I missed this post since last time I checked here  Anyways, I spent my last 2 weeks studying (and getting wasted in-between studying), so I didn't do much. I do think, however, that I can do the script for the generic slave selling. Tommorow I'm writing my last exam, so I'll be able to take care of it at last.

huh sorry to have this dug up, but has the work on the slave companions managed to reach maturity?

I'm certain I've played such a mod already somewhere, just can't find it anymore. I even asked Quantum to help re-creating this, but instead He wanted to teach me coding, so that the community has another scripter, ( fat chance of that happening, I'm simply too stupid to understand this).

Long story short.. was was the mod where you knockout the slaves from slaver&slaves encounters, and use ropes on them to add them to your party released?

EDIT:

I'm not asking of MIB88 stuff where the slave turns ito an item to sell to Metzger, but rather the stationary party mules.
