Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!
I just realized how little I actually know about many of you with whom I sustained long debates with in the past.

So, tell us about yourself, at least as much as you think is safe, please dont give us your social security number.

I'll start. Some of you already know much of this, but some have no idea, so I'll start from the begining. I'm a male in my early 30's and have a career in law enfocement, before that I was in the army and did some university. I am from and currently live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I always wondered about being a writer and it has been a sort of hobby, but shortly ago I decided I want to get more serious about it.

I first played Fallout 1 in 1998, and it was such an asthetically appealing game to me, as well as having a great combat system, that not knowing any english I learned the language if only to finally be able to ask around and find the damned water chip. Fell in love with the series rigth there and wasted no time in getting Fallout 2 which was already out by the time I finished FO1. Like many I was greatly disappointed when I learned FO3 was going to be a shooter and greately missed many of the things that made me fall in love with the game were now gone forever, as a proper sequel was now too late to be ever made.

I was very active in the roleplaying forums when those forums, as well as NMA in general, were very active. I now currently play RPG's in various systems with whatever friends I can convince to play with me, and as such I'm usually the DM in most games. As a result I rediscovered my love for telling sotries as well as living them. And if there is something I regreat about my current career is that this side of me is never put to use.

My visits to the forum are irregular at most, but I always feel this is a place I can come back to, to see old friends, at least the ones that still visit.

Ok, that's all I can think of. I know some of you are artists, modders and the such, but not much else. So, please consider replying to this thread with a bit more than smart comments.

Well, let's get deep and personal I guess.

I make music.
My first fallout was fallout 3.
I once met Stan Lee.
I plan to move onto PC gaming in the next few years.
I'm at Uni.
I want to make games.
I'm apparently a psychological anomaly.
I've liked two girls a lot, one I lost interest in other time and the other had to walk out of my life.
I write weird NMA gay porn fanfic.
I consider my political views to be very left leaning, but there are alot asswholes on the left these days.

-I live in Sri Lanka cause my dad's on a diplomatic mission here.
-I'm technically working at the U.S. Embassy in Colombo, but I'm waiting for my security clearance to be finalized before I start.
Hopefully I can start college afterwards when I move back to the States.

-I love music in general, my predominate tastes are rock and jazz. I actually make my own music, too; if I trust you enough I'll share my lyrics.
-I like to keep my own friend circle small, for good reason.
-PC Gaming is a serious hobby of mine.
-I want to learn how to be a playwright.
-I have few negative opinions about most media (i.e. video games, TV, movies, that stuff), but when I do, I get serious.
-I speak English as my mother tongue. As of now, my Sinhala has become conversational, and I can read and write in the Sinhala alphabet. I took German and Spanish classes in high school, but I've mostly forgotten them.
-I'm confused about my own sexuality. I like girls a lot, but I wouldn't mind a stable relationship with a man or transgender. I don't know what I am cause I hate labels.

  • I stick chips into parts that eventually become pressure sensors.
  • I don't really have favourite genres of music as such, if I like a song I like it, that's it. Although saying that I am fond of video game music in particular, I tend to try and extract/record a game's soundtrack as most OSTs that you can buy tend to be different from the in game versions or outright unavailable.
  • I'm rather introverted, though I am not as bad as I used to be. Still a loner though.
  • I have what some consider to be a strange sense of humour.
  • I game often, though I prefer older titles or ones that aren't as mainstream and popular.
  • I prefer stories with grey elements instead of "Good vs evil!"
  • I can be very sceptical, but at the same time I can also be naïve to a degree.
  • I have no idea where to go forward in life, that's all I'm going to say about that.

  • I write a lot, mostly post apocalyptic fiction. I also create homebrew campaigns for my dnd group.
  • My favorite music genre is Indie Folk/Pop. Favorite bands include Wild Child, Of Monsters and Men, and Vance Joy.
  • Senior year of high school I am interning somewhere to study graphic design.
  • I am in the process of writing a comic book with a couple of friends. I am the writer and letterer.
  • Like most internet dwellers, I am overtly introverted, possibly suffering from social anxiety.
  • I only consider FO 1-2, Tactics, and NV canon. Also have a strong headcanon.
  • Wolverine is my favorite super hero. Venom a close second for the cool factor.
  • I dream of retiring to Iceland and cutting myself off from the States.
 
I'm a 28 year old dude from Germany. Finished university like two years ago with an MSc. in physics, now I'm in R&D doing system technology for lasers. Besides being a huge SciFi nerd I like music, I play (electrical) guitar and started to play the cello last year. I like most genres of music, but I usually prefer the more progressive and avant garde sections of Black and Death Metal as well as classical music.
When I'm not doing any of that I like sports, mostly weightlifting these days, although I want to start boxing soon. I also like a good scotch whisky from time to time.
And I kinda want to start writing Science Fiction, currently collecting some ideas and making an outline.
