[Solved] Narrow fonts in UK version of Fallout 1

Hi! I bought a Fallout Collection (claims to be Interplay, but F1 is from GSP) on Amazon (DVD-box with big Radioactivity insignia on it). Nice buy, but Fallout 1 is a UK version (GSP)(installs itself to C:\Program Files\GSP\Fallout). It works perfectly, but fonts in Main Menu, in Skilldex, in Character menu, and in in-game ESC-menu (Save, Load, Preferences, etc) are narrower than in US version.

Is there any way to replace fonts in F1 with fonts from F2? I know there are tools to extract .dat files (master.dat, critter.dat). And it seems fonts are located there. I don't know which files should be replaced, after undatting those archives.

I google'd and found another guy on net, who discovered the same problem (font difference in UK and US versions of Fallout 1). - Fallout 1 font width halved? But he just copied master.dat and critter.dat from US version of Fallout 1. I don't like that way and want to know how the things work.

Ok, i found a way to fix it. If somebody cares, here is solution:
I used Dat Explorer by Dims utility to extract two files (FONT3.AAF, FONT4.AAF) from master.dat, located in Fallout 2 (US version, - this is important) installation directory. Copy font3.aaf and font4.aaf to C:\Program Files\GSP\Fallout\data directory (or whatever your Fallout 1 install directory was). Enjoy! :^)
 
I don't think I've heard of this problem before, but now if someone else asks about it we can mock them for not searching and finding this thread.
