sorry if it's been mentioned before (about HtH)

Box Man

First time out of the vault
I remember reading something about how HtH would be given more focus in Van Buren, and the issue of "Flurry kick".

since there are the power fist, and mega power fist... how about an equippable item for the feet.

maybe "power boots" (but with a cooler name) that enhance the power of your kicks?

or maybe a pair of spiked boots, that let you walk around like normal but when you kick your enemy, spikes come out of the bottom and inflict extra damage.

just some ideas... Im sure you guys could make it practical.

I think the devs are going to include this. If you do a search or browse the news forum you could probably find the news post about it.

I don't know about this though. Having extra damage for steel-toed boots or something seems ok, but spikes, knives or other types of things seems a bit much. Say you have a knife or spike on your boot and you kick someone in the ribs, piercing their side. Now you've got one leg on the ground, on leg stuck in somebody's side and you're in a pretty awkward position, vulnerable to be thrown to the ground, punched, or shot in the face while you try and wriggle your leg free. Unless you're a kung-fu super-hero your legs aren't going to have the agility to just quickly stab someone like you can with your arms, and since the knife or whatever is attached to your boots you can't just let go if it gets stuck. I'm not a great fan of realism in games, but my imagination just rejects this idea.

yeah that would be nice. steal toed boots, spiked boots, high heel(a kick in the groin would realy hurt)

Some thoughts:

In Wasteland, characters with developed hand-to-hand combat abilities and weapons are much more powerful than ranged characters, but often they just can't get to the enemy because a hail of laser beams quickly knocks them into UNC - computer attacks whomever is closest to him. So sometimes I used diversionary tactics, like retreating, making the enemy to follow me to a point where he'd have a blindspot I can use, then quickly running behind him with a wall as my cover, and backstabbing him.

maybe the knives/spikes can be "released" when you kick them so
u wont get stuck . this would require u to buy more spikes and "reload " your boot :D

well, you could also put a shotgun shell on it, so when you kick someone it has a little "extra" punch.

the type of weapon added to a boot would really depend on how you kick them.

and having a blade or whatnot for the different types of kicks would kind of be a pain in the butt, I guess

maybe just something that is spiked, but have it so you can walk normally, and not get stuck in the enemy. just inflict extra damage.

Like an energized boot! Its got batteries on the sides and the tip is electrified (like the tesla rod) and when you kick someone they get a surprise!

The Payne Act, in its essence a compromise bill, had the immediate effect of frustrating both proponents and opponents of reducing tariffs. In particular, the bill greatly angered Progressives, who began to withdraw support from President Taft. Because it increased the duty on print paper used by publishers, the publishing industry viciously criticized the President, further tarnishing his image. Although Taft met and consulted with Congress during its deliberations on the bill, critics charged that he ought to have imposed more of his own recommendations on the bill; namely, that of a slower schedule. However, unlike his predecessor (Theodore Roosevelt), Taft felt that the president should not dictate lawmaking and should leave Congress free to act as it saw fit. Taft signed the bill. The debate over the tariff split the Republican Party into Progressives and Old Guards and led the split party to lose the 1910 congressional election. The bill enacted a small income tax on the privilege of conducting business as a corporation, which was affirmed in the Supreme Court decision Flint v. Stone Tracy Co. (also known as the Corporation Tax case).
