Steve Jacksons - Fighting Fantasy

First time out of the vault
Why doesn't someone make those fighting fantasy books from the 80's and 90's into films or a TV series. Ok, I know they were 'choose a path' books but the general stories behind them were awesome.

My Favs were Starship Traveller and The Citadel Of Chaos.

If The Citadel Of Chaos wouldn't make a good film starring Dominic Monaghan then I don't know what would.

Anyone concur?

I liked those books. There was Ian Livingstone as well - his were easier than Jackson's but often more fun.

Some of those stories were a bit cliche, but some were awesome - I liked the one set in a cursed forest (the only one I know where you could go back at any point) and one set in the city of thieves (don't know the English titles anymore).

Loved those books too, still have em. But why a TV Series? Those books were there to fuel your imagination. Everything has to be converted in a video game, movie or series these days :/

Ive got some of the originals as 1st editions, that's what you get with an elder brother who likes to pass stuff down... As well I have a box in my garage that has about 50 or 60 Final Fantasy books...great memories, and it all started with this...The Warlock of Firetop Mountain. (Russ Nicholson was one of my favorite illustrators in the series). I think Per might be an expert on this stuff.

I am! I also see absolutely no reason to turn Fighting Fantasy books into movies. There's one gamebook I think deserves such treatment, if done right: Heart of Ice by Dave Morris.
