Stupid fallout experiences...

My dumbest moment? I kept playing Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel for Xbox thinking it would eventually get better. Though I suppose it would have been dumber if I'd actually bought it.
 
Here's one:
I was playing ironman style with this character skilled in small guns. When I entered NCR I had two teammates(Cassidy and Marcus) with me. I didn't have a proper weapon for Marcus(there's no way I would let him blow my head off with a minigun) so I decided to find one.
When I see that super mutant Lenny in the bar I thought: Hey! He has a sweet power fist! That's exactly what we need right now. I used two jets on each of him and that Mira(that crazy guy Jack's ex-wife, I don't remember the exact name) guy and rested for an hour to weaken them.
Then I started the fight. Unfortunately my SMG couldn't deal a single point of damage out of Lenny, and Cassidy accidentally hit a patron while bursting him combat shotgun. It was not that bad though, after a few rounds we managed to take down almost all of them with only moderate wounds. Then I got careless... Lenny hit me once(he only had about 5 ap per round, I think) for 39 damage and I fell over and died... That power fist WAS one sweet weapon after all...
Never underestimate a super mutant with a power fist who's been dosed with 2 jets 1 hour ago when you are playing ironman style with not more than 39 hit points using SMG and gets too close to him. That's what I've learned.
Oh, I forgot to mention: This is the same character that I forgot to drop the dynamite onto the ground to blow up the door before I ran away, in the rat cave in Klamath. May he rest in peace.
 
Dumbest moment?

1)I did the salvatore chain quest but in the end i refused to join them, causing salvadore to get mad and tell his guards to kill me.

2)I got stuck in the family Wright door glitch, the guy told me to go inside and talk to big Wright, once i opened the door the guy warned me not to touch the door. so I did it again and he opened fire :P.

3)I tried to mess with sierra army depot's systems, out of nowhere I was sorrounded by robots.

4)And finally, and used the mutation ampule in NCR on that super mutant outside the bar, shortly after that I was attacked by a man with body guards who told me they know the death of Lenny (cant remember the name) wasn't an accident. :crazy:

I may be wrong, but I thought addictions would eventually pass as long as you didn't feed them (take more of the drug). Your stats would lower as you went into withdrawals, but, similar to real life, after you get past the withdrawals, you're not physically addicted anymore.

Edit: Oh right, Jet. I believe you can only cure that by doing the quest line involving talking to the doctor in Vault City's vault about it, getting Myron, talking him up about Jet, admitting that making a cure is possible, then going to the doctor in Vault City's vault again. This requires a sufficiently high science skill (or was it the doctor skill? both?) to talk to Myron and the doctor about it. I believe you get two doses of the cure, which you can give to the doctor in Redding to distribute to complete the quest, as well as take one yourself, if you need it.

Dammit, Myron ran away on me when I was escorting a caravan, he is now probably being pecked alive, alone, on the wasteland... Is there still anyway to get the cure?

I did one dumb thing that turned out to be good, I killed one of New Reno's family guy's after ****ing his daughter and trying to go downstairs, then after I killed all of his goons I proceeded to ****ing his wife... and then I became Idolized in New Reno.

I got half of my torso blown away... (I had the bloody mess trait with maximum blood on)

In the Glow.... "want to play again?" *sizzle*
 
The VC doctor will discover the cure, but it takes him a few months. Less if you've talked to Myron about how Jet is made.
 
Yeah, I talked to Myron about how Jet is made (with the Brahmin shit and all) but I don't have him right now, does it still work?
 
Kept getting caught sneaking away from my guard post by the sergeant at the Enclave base. He kept calling me a "F@#ing Moron", that should have been my cue to be more careful in my sneaking.

In Fallout Tactics I wan in the "destroy the four generators" mission, and I decided to run it backwards... anyway, this mutant decided to throw a grenade at me and missed terrably and blew up the benerator himself!
 
Cornered by Ian in a 1x1 area in Vault 15 (beds, lockers). Tried everything. my only save was..never.

EDIT: Once I only took one Rad-X at the Glow.

EDIT: Loaded up my save outside the glow and did it right that time, only to play a little too much chess and have it wear off.
 
ran into a group of travelers out in the desert. I figured they looked like they would have some good stuff, so I killed them... it turned out to be a Hub Police Patrol. When I got to the Hub again all the cops were attacking me. I didn't realize why for two days then I remembered the Patrol I shot up before I got to the hub.

Did they radio to Hub that they are attacked or something like that?
 
1) trying to steal something from someone, then getting caught because i don't have enough space in my inventory.

2)killing deputy kenny in the hub, then having a message saying: "omg! they killed kenny! those bastards!"
