I would... but I already posted my sleeve in another thread, instead of showing my ugly mug.

My other arm looks empty. I should go back to Belgium and fix that.

Then the rest.

my thighs are empty at the moment, need to fix that....

and oh BOY does that sound wrong...

I got a tattoo that says "FF" for Foo Fighters. It was in the CD. Lasted for a day. :whatever:

Are tattoos indicators of a unhappy life? I never known sensible well grounded people going out to get tattoos. I have a small tattoo on my chest (a love heart with my wifes name in it), that I got when I was missing my girlfriend at the time, for whatever reason I had this compulsion to have her name over my heart. At the time we were living in separate countries. So are tattoos creative forms of scarring.

Check out this character, sure the artwork is impressive (amazing actually), but the poor guy will be trapped with these images for life. As I grow older I feel less easy about tattoos.

If your entire life revolves around tattoos then you probably have some kind of obsessive compulsive issue. I have a Ghost Rider skull and a Spider.

I have a string of binary wrapping around my left ankle that translates to the lyrics of that rick astley song. In 5000 years when my remains are dug out of whatever pit I end up throwing myself into, the futurefags will decode it and receive the greatest rickrolling in history

I suggest root vegetables or marrows. As tattoos, of course. *cough*

I think if your entire life revolves around anything in particular, you probably have obsessive compulsive tendencies.

Sensible, well grounded people are boring. I think having tattoos if often (not always) an indicator of having lived an interesting life (Nine times out of ten, the exception is tribal. Eew).

By the way, are you including the heavily tattooed tribal people of the Polynesian islands, such as the Maori, in your generalisation? What about the heavily tattooed firefighters from Japan during the Edo period?

Tattooing is an art form, just like painting, sculpting, engraving, interpretive dance... why its viewed any differently to any other medium is just down to an outdated stigma which, according to a few books I've read on the subject, can be traced back to the introduction of Christianity to Europe after 325CE when the council of Nicaea invented the details of the religion.

I'll stop right there.

As the old saying goes, the difference between tattooed people and non tattooed people is that those of us with tattoos don't care if you don't have one.

I have no tattoos or piercings and I'm not really planning on changing that.
Maybe, when I'm finally done with university, I'll get my student number as a barcode on my arm as a reminder of the important and awesome time I had there.

Cool idea. Never thought of that.

I never paid much attention to tattoos, until I played Planescape: Torment.
Nameless One's tattoo is still the only tattoo that I actually wanted on my skin.

I don't know any sensible well grounded people. At least none that are worth being around.

So THATS what this thread was about? Taking the time out of our day to lambast over tattoo ownership? I'm in!

I don't have a tattoo. They are fucking expensive and only for losers, which I am not.

If I were a die-hard tattoo person (I have no and don't want any) I'd totally get the Planescape: Torment symbol in the same place the Nameless One has his...or maybe get the directions (Find Pharod and the journal) on my back.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller
