The Definitive Fallout universe timeline

It's so off in so many ways. A supposed U.S. annexation of Mexico? There was an invasion, but no annexation. 'Westec'? Moreso, nothing about Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics or Van Buren. Indeed, a depressing and stark look into the lack of understanding of Fallout lore on the Bethesda fans' part.

You forgot the best part where the Brotherhood were members of the Enclave that broke off to fight the Enclave's evil ways and try to take control of the government.

Well that was absolute garbage. But then again, it shows how Bethesda has mutated the product...

This whole thing is very personal, and we can see it in how lore is being treated. It's old versus new. The two are no longer compatible, and Beth created this - and now Beth has to cater further to this.

In the end, any lore pertaining to the two original games will be deemed blasphemous to the "real" lore, established by Bethesda.

On the bright side, it clearly separates Fallout 1, 2, and New Vegas (and Tactics) from Fallout 3 and 4 which now seem to exist in its own universe.

Perhaps over time even Bethesda itself will discard the original games from its timeline, feeling that it messes up their own Fallout games to much.

I don't when the last time I visited 9gag but I see that it's still a hive mind of idiocy and misinformation.

The whole treatment of BoS as a bunch of white knights makes me cringe.

This is sad. I hope this isn't taken from stuff Beth has said and this is just horrible memory.

I guess one might get the impression the BoS was former Enclave (both being partially descended from the US military) but last I checked Mariposa wasn't an Enclave base until F2.

Also, WTF is Westec? It's West-Tek.

From what I remember, Mariposa was cleared so the the enclave could get samples and test FEV effects on the miners. It was never a base, so to speak. They demolished it again after the SM miners got out of control.

They added the formation of NCR and the Battle of Hoover Dam. So New Vegas is clearly in there and the one Fallout 1 affected event is there just because of its relevance to New Vegas. I honestly think events from 1 and 2 aren't there simply because they don't even know there are a Fallout and Fallout 2. 3 was the first.
