The full dialogue mod is already created

First time out of the vault
For how long has FO4 been out? A week? People already decided, that they're fed up with the atrocious dialogue wheel and fixed it (oficially it is still a Beta version of the mod, but it definitely exists)

It's actually quite grotesque, that nowadays most useful mods for a Bethesda game aren't adding new features to the game, but are removing those stupid ideas added by the developers...

Impressive. I will download this. It's nice to know exactly what I'll say rather than guess what the developers meant.

Just read about it and very happy about it.

It has begun: Fallout 4 got a little bit fixed.

(And of course, who thought otherwise, by the community)

I'm hopeful that we'll see more tweaks like this. I honestly think Fallout 4 is a better base game and a better Fallout game than 3 at least... so the mods will only improve that.

I still wish skills were a thing though. I doubt they'll be added back in.

All of their games have been vastly improved/made palatable by mod......its kinda a basic principle at this point. SOP. Don't break what works, I guess. Release it, and let the community at it

I've got kinda mixed feelings about Bethesda and their philosophy when it comes to modding.

On one hand it lets them shovel an enormous amount of bullshit past the radar because people know that they will eventually be able to download mods that fix everything to their liking, and so they keep buying the games. Unfinished, badly tested, badly designed mechanics get a pass, as long as they provide a functional engine, graphical assets and modding tools.

On the other hand it provides budding developers with a fantastic platform for learning how to develop, bugtest, publish and divulge user feedback on a product. I myself learned to program by modding Oblivion when that came out. First I just wanted to tweak the age settings in ParasiteX's vampire mod, then I wanted to make my own version of it, and then I was teaching myself trigonometry in order to create a script that let the player fly, which inspired me to pursue a career in game development and also laid the groundwork for the Hoverboard mod. With them now discussing letting people get paid for their mods, and being able to mod for consoles as well, I really can't say that I'm against it.

If you have to use mods to make the game enjoyable, the game is a piece of shit and is not worth the price of the game.

Don't worry, they will soon try to employ some method of controlling the modding community to gain some sort of monetary or proprietary control over everything. This will obviously not go over well. This is a natural step considering all other decisions that were made with Fallout 4. They're taking things right out of EA's playbook.

The fact that there is already a mod to remove the entire dialog system tells you everything you need to know about what Fallout has become.

Regardless of what this mod does, the core of this game is a mess that can't be fixed. Just prettied up by people who'll get no compensation for what they're doing, versus Bethesda.

Its pretty impressive what canbe done with mods.....some things are particularly difficult to do, but if you played the other games, and grabbed mods that were close to your vision of what a great game can be, the games can be great.

To shrug off the game as a whole as shit, and not use ready to hand to tools to make it into something you would like to play, unless of course that the core gameplay bothers you (fps)seems a bit like cutting off your nose, to spite your face.

On the other hand, I think their tendency to release semi playable platforms, and letting modders make the game to taste is a bit beyond the pale. :/

The fact that this mod even exists, in addition to the fact that it was made a few days after release, is a testament to how shameful and disgraceful the decision makers at Bethesda were regarding this game.

Do you agree?
