There is something rotten with the Lyons' Pride symbol

Khan FurSainty

Look, Ma! Two Heads!
As a bulgarian i am totaly offended by this:

bulgaria-flag.jpg

Can you see the difference? No, because with exception of the tail there are none!

As you may already know, the first image is the symbol of the Lyons' Pride, who are: "led by Sentinel Sarah Lyons, is an elite unit of the Capital Wasteland Brotherhood of Steel."

The second image is the bulgarian flag with the national emblem.

So they steal from our emblem for they're idiotic FPS DLC. This is just so wrong that it hurts and enrages me from the inside. Why??? Why must they be such douchbags? Because they can? What, they just steal from a national emblem and think it's ok?

Second, what the F**K have a lion and Fallout in common? No, no, no... what the F**K have a lion and the USA in common? You have no lions there, except in the Zoo. And those animals where taken from another continent. And after 200 years people are bound to have forgotten about them. So WTF Bethesda??? I mean it! WTF???

I don't want to sound like a swearing hater or anything, but you got to admit, this is not a coincidence. This is to close to be a coincidence. They just changed the tail a little. But it's the same lion, in the same pose, looking on the same side. And on top of all, the poor animal have nothing to do in the Fallout universe. As i said before, i am offended and enraged at Bethesda. They just went too far with this one.

Nahh they ripped of the Norwegian coat of arms.

Used as early as 1290

I don't want to sound like a swearing hater or anything, but you got to admit, this is not a coincidence. This is to close to be a coincidence. They just changed the tail a little, added a couple more lions and removed the axe. But it's the same lion, in the same pose, looking on the same side. And on top of all, the poor animal have nothing to do in Bulgaria. As i said before, i am offended and enraged at Bulgaria. They just went too far with this one.
Hehe

Ethnocentric much?

I can't believe you actually think Bulgaria is the only country with a lion in its national emblem. Hello?

Dutch Orange Lion?

Czech Republic?

Georgia?

Honestly, a coincidence? Of course it isn't, that bloody lion is omni-present, including in Anglo-Saxon countries since it's one of the possible depictions of the Lion of England

Seriously, dude, what the hell?

Uh...unlike Bulgaria, huh?

Looks more like the Royal coat of arms of Scotland.

See here

Anyway the Lion Rampant (as that pose is called) is used a lot in heraldry so I seriously doubt they nicked Bulgaria's lion.

Are all these insults to Bulgaria as well?

Seriously dude there are 1000's of variations. And the Beth version has plenty of differences from yours apart from the tail, so it's not the same.

Shit I hate to defend them on any point of F3.

They have all stolen from some other!11

/Edit: The Narnia thingy comes the closest, imo.

/Edit²: Or not, on the second look, it could have a touche from every lion posted here.

Or maybe the berliner bear?

Lets not forget the Narnian coat of arms while we're at it.

If it makes you feel better the lion is sitting on a particularly phalic sword with balls on either side.

I can't tell if he is serious on not.....Still funny though.

I just wanted to say that the lion is not part of the natural fauna, so there is no logic to make him a symbol in Washington D.C. after 200 years when most of the wild animals have died or mutated.
Brother None got me there :)
On our land lions are nowhere to be found except in the Zoo. But there are theorys that they once have lived near the Black sea, but the weather dramatically changed, forcing them to migrate south. They are part of the region canon.

We got Lions.

They Maul dumbass hikers.

Ever watch 6 feet under? The funniest scene in the entire series involves a mountain lion and a jogger.

As for Zoo's I recently got to watch a lion put on a bit of a show, he got up and chased some birds out of his pen and then started roaring and acting all macho, like "yeah, I rule you pigeons!". Still there is something awesome about being close to a roaring lion.

No, haven't actually. But the mountain lions ring a bell. I just have forgotten about them i guess.

[spoiler:d55092793d]Basically somebody dies at the start of each episode, the the show revolves around guys who work at a funeral home. At the start of one episode you see a jogger and he stops and is out of breath and starts taking his own pulse. I thought "wow, he is going to have a heart attack" but suddenly a mountain Lion jumps and attaches itself to his face. I think I was in tears I was laughing so hard[/spoiler:d55092793d]

The only Lions the US has are 0-16 Lions.

That said, it doesn't matter if Lions are a part of their natural fauna. 200 years in which a mass of books and other media survived are no reason for remembrance of such creatures to die. The post-apocalyptic Fallout world is too highly-developed for that, and never recedes into savagery enough to forget such things.
