To catch a reporter...

Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!
Not sure how many of you guys know about Defcon, well anyway its kind of a technology/hacking conference currently underway.

Some NBC reporter was caught spying even though she had turned down a press invite

I'm guessing this was pretty widely reported, but an NBC undercover reporter fled after being outed in the opening session. NBC Dateline associate producer Michelle Madigan refused press credentials on four separate occasions, choosing instead to pose as a normal attendee in order to covertly film other attendees. Defcon has a long running tradition of playing"spot the fed", where attendees out people they think are federal agents. The feds play along and it's all good fun. This was entirely different though: the game "spot the undercover reporter" was announced and she fled immediately, only to be filmed "To catch a predator" style.

spot the feds was classic, but this is just stupid.

come on... offered a press pack 4 times and still want to infiltrate?

if they can spot the feds, don't you think they'll spot a freaking noobass reporter?

ugh, stupid journalists these days...

It is funny to see a reporter running away from cameras and being hounded, maybe there's a certain amount of justice in that.

Of course it did kind of remind me of those revenge of the nerds movies.
