Twelve not allowed angry mutants

Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!

I think I just realized why I like this movie so much, it reminds me of our political/social discussions in our beloved General Discussion Forum.

At one point or another during this movie I can identify myself and other fellow posters in the characters, sometimes changing from character to character, like each character is also a facet of ourselves.

Do you recognize yourselves in one of the characters, do you recognize people you know in them as well? Well, if you watched the movie I mean. If not I really recommend it, the 1997 version is very good too, with awesome performances of Jack Lemmon and George C. Scott at each others throats.

Oh another moderation bashing thread, except masked. Yeah I'm all for that but either make it entertaining enough or really bring your a-game. Not this weak twaddle you flaccid dong diddler.

What's funny is i think that prediction will come true.

I was thinking more the Ukraine civil war thread, or how some insist on calling it, the Russian-Ukraine war/Russian invasion. But suit yourself. Now for some reason the sentence you wrote gave me the mental image of someone bashing you in the head with a flaccid dong, thanks.

I predict lots of sources from RT.com and one or two jabs at how people fall for American deception. Perhaps claims that there are no Russian troops in Ukraine and the dead bodies transported back from Donbass are actually pig carcasses, imported... Uh, for science.

It's a good movie, and Henry Fonda was a good actor. Although I've noticed that in Internet arguments folks rarely change their views, like in that movie. They might rather leave the argument rather then admit they are wrong.

Do I recognize myself in one of the characters? I don't fully remember the plotline but I do remember the Fonda character and I'd like to think I'm like him in debates. Although I'm not sure if I've ever been as successful in swaying opinion as he was in the movie. On another site I did have a knack of getting into some epic debates, and still kinda do.

No one denies Russian volunteers fight righteously defending their Donbass brothers and sisters, not even Russia.

Falklands a civil war? Hmm, it is Argentine soil after all, and as such, all born there are Argentines. The concept is interesting, Argentine islanders who received British support for a separatist movement. It wouldn't be too crazy now that you put it that way.

So you agree that what Russia does in Ukraine and what the UK does in the Falklands is illegal then. See, I knew we could agree finally.

I don't understand why people think the Russian invasion is so wrong, well I get it if you're there but from a political standpoint... who would you rather? Nazis or Russians.

This just in.

Russia annexes NMA General Discussion.

Yeah, Russian volunteers serving in the Russian military, ordered there by Russian officers, under Russian policy, using Russian army weapons and vehicles.

And no, I don't agree, given that the Falklands were never Argentinian.

Uh, you do realize that Ukraine is not ruled by Nazis, right? How about you look at the results of the general election and the presidential vote before parroting Kremlin and separatist talk points.

It's still rather ugly, as neither side is really trustworthy in my book. No matter if you look at the Russian politics behind it or the Ukrainian government. What's really sad is that the fighting people and civilians on both sides pay the price. Like always.
