Using Long Dude Art

First time out of the vault
I have a question. I have the latest restoration project installed. I want to replace Vic in armour critters (from the NPC armour mod part) with the long hair dude critters (from the appearence mod part). I basicly want Vic to look like the Long hair dude in varius types of armour.

How can I do it. Would copying the FRM files and renaiming them accordingly do the trick??? If so which ones should I replace with which. If not - is there any other way?

P.S. How do you run mapper2 on the restoration mod? Mine does not want to work :(

Yes, you must copy the files from Appearance Mod (HMR00S01 folder), rename them mimicing the filenames for Vic from the NPC armor mod (don't know how Vic is named, you'd have to see for yourself or ask Josan12) and paste them in the folder, where you have NPC armor mod files. I don't think there's any other way to do that.

P.S. How do you run mapper2 on the restoration mod? Mine does not want to work :(

You probably haven't applied the 49+ city patch. Find it in the NMA download section.

Vic's frms are named NMFATT** the other armored goes by NMF something if I remember correctly. If you change the frm names you should keep in mind that it would change all the fat critters too.
 
There are 21 Fatt files in the Data Art Critters folder (these are the only Vic's files I asume???)

Now I need to know which files from the appearence critter folder I have to copy... There is nearly a thousand of them... :\
 
Just replace all the corresponding files starting with NMFATT**, all up there are about 50 files, but understand Vic doesn't use all of the weapon animations, such as big guns - mini guns...as for the files in the Appearance mod, use this (see below) to view them and then workout what's what.

Thank you. It probably is the thing I need... but
Do you guys know how to make this program work?
I pasted it into the fallout2 folder and when I run the program it says "failed to set data for' "
 
Use RAR to unzip the program - go to the critters FRM's (this is the actual critter animation file in Fallout, the ones you want are in the Appearance folder), and double click on the file and use the Titanium Frm Browser to open the file.

There is no need to move the Browser into the Fallout folder, it will work anywhere on the computer.

I get the same problem whenever I open the program or I try to open a FRM file with it. The error jumps out, the program does open, but it does not show any images.


This is the error I get no matter how I open the program.
" failed to set data for' "
 
Here 's how I do it :

open first the titanium browser
click ok on the error message box
right click in the middle of the screen
choose the first line of question marks
and indicate the path to your frm

you should see the critter

by right clicking another time you will
have multiple choices (rename, save as
gif...). explore a little bit because its all
question marks.

or you can download the vic long hair from my site,has both of what you asked for in it(tho the install program requiers net4 framework)
